You know, the “ protector” shills who seem to be on these sites as a paid job to blow denial smoke any time someone points out reality, keep up the line with bs such as “ there are 3000 people in the portal.“ What they always leave out is that there are 351 D1 schools. And in reality thereare to date 497 transfers in 2022- and WVU has 3 including 2 4 stars.
So if there are really 3000 portal transfers overall, that’s about 8.5 players per school if they were split up evenly. But WVU has had 14 players transfer out - enough for nearly 2 D1 programs worth of transfers. And in ’22 with three transfers WVU has more than double the number of transfers if each school is losing players as the shills project.
Most D1 transfers are also coming out of small programs, not high majors like WVU.
And while the shills like to pretend these were all meaningless players, some are in the NCAA tourney at other schools and some are 4 star players too.
There is a real problem at WVU and the NIL cannot be used to excuse it all away. There isn’t evidence to support these players getting better NIL deals elsewhere. In fact the top departure stated it was the coaching that pushed him out- to which the shills immediately denied of course.
At some point WVU has to let reality decide their decision making in coaching and they can’t wait til all athletics are in a crater to do it.
