[QUOTE="Keenan Cummings, post: 132350458, member: 1041048"] --West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins said that Senior Day is emotional. It's sad to see them go. --Huggins got what he wanted out of his seniors and has had no issues with their practice habits and work ethic in practice but they obviously would have liked to win more. Everything is still out there and if you win tomorrow you seal up your spot and take away all doubt. Huggins thinks they are fine now but they would feel a lot more comfortable with one more win. --West Virginia had three free throws to beat Baylor and missed them and at Oklahoma they missed them down the stretch. --You're supposed to be able to bring kids in and develop them and help them focus. That's what coaching is all about. --Huggins was teasing Mohamed Wague in the hallway but he's still in a boot. No update on him. James Okonkwo practiced yesterday and was good. --It's good that the seniors get to play in front of a sell out crowd with very loyal West Virginia fans, it's a good way to go out at home. It's something people really remember looking back and that's valuable. --Huggins thinks that Erik Stevenson has matured at a very quick pace but the team coming together takes time. He gives the team a lot of credit because they didn't hang their heads or lay it down and they continued to compete. They've been in every game but the Texas game. --Huggins said there are guys that can do that and can't when it comes to joining a team and adjusting with the program. They can only look at film when it comes to transfers and it's reaching out to other coaches and people that are involved that have a better idea about the players holistically and how they are in the locker room. --Huggins doesn't want to overlook the conference tournament because he didn't think anything could compare to the Big East Tournament but Kansas City has created an incredible environment for that event. Huggins said winning the Big East Championship in the World's most famous arena and seeing a sea of gold with people signing country roads and tears going down their face is one of the best moments of his career. --Anybody that doesn't think basketball is a contact sport doesn't watch it closely. --This is the most competitive, physical league in the country and you don't experience that elsewhere no matter where you come from. And it's an incredibly athletic league as well. --West Virginia is a much better defensive team. They made that comeback in Ames without a big.
