They should have to sign contracts where they need to pay buyout money if they leave before the contract expires. They want what the coaches have well there you go.

Unless they pay their way through school with their NIL deal. As long as they’re on scholarship, there should be more of a commitment to the university for sure.

True, but perhaps the NCAA should allow schools to pay a salary to players and put a cap on that as well as the coaches. But outside donors for players and coaches can never be monitored or stopped.
