DH lacks knowledge on how to coach. Couldn't win a game that mattered.
Im still confused are you really a Wvu fan?Still confused about something - does this team lack talent and did DH leave the cupboard bare?
Dana left the cupboard bare!
Last week you were saying this team was filled with no talent hacks - what happened ?Im still confused are you really a Wvu fan?
You’re grossly misrepresenting my stance and you should read my posts from last week to confirm. I said there was talent on this team but the coaches weren’t using it properly (and I stand by that statement); was I wrong ?Funny. On one hand WVU loses last week and its because the coaching is poor and the talent would be winning if the coaching was better. WVU wins this week and suddenly it's the pure talent of the previous coach's recruits. Seems like a double standard to me. The overreaction here is astounding. WVU played better than the first 2 games, but the opponent had a young team with a newly installed and very atypical defensive system. So it is encouraging, but as the saying goes you are never as bad as you think when you lose and never as good as you think when you win. We still don't know what we have here and WVU could very easily get smacked in the mouth like the Mizzou game next week.
But all these jabs and slights begs a few questions. Why is it so hard to grasp that Dana left WVU without a viable O-line and a work in progress QB's? Kendall would've been rusty and playing below his potential the first several games the same way Grier did, having not played an entire season even if Dana had stayed. Why is it so hard to say that Dana was a decent head coach, but developing players he recruited out of high school and developing even the semblance of depth was not his strong suit? Why is it hard to say that the previous coach relied a bit too heavily on transfers as 1-2 year rental players? Why is it so hard to say that a new head coach that clearly didn't inherit an intact team is going to need time to show what he's made of? When did WVU become such a powerhouse that a new head coach doesn't get at least 2 seasons to develop a true picture of what he is capable of?

Last week you couldn't mention one player when asked that question. what happened this week was that adjustments were made. That is the 1st time its happened in 8 years.Last week you were saying this team was filled with no talent hacks - what happened ?

You ran the entire team into the gutter - so easy there with any criticism. Oh and I did mention that our secondary was good and so were the rbs. Your query was about nfl talent so suck eggs.Last week you couldn't mention one player when asked that question. what happened this week was that adjustments were made. No one is saying there is utter dog crap on this team, but the roster is a far cry from a team where it is reasonable to expect a new coach installing his system and culture to be immediately successful. The roster Brown inherited from Dana is crap compared to what Dana inherited from Stewart. The O-line is very young and the only experienced ones are not super great talents. Brown's struggles are reasonable given what he inherited and it will take time for the talent on this team to realize its potential as it is coached up and plays together more. Even a supremely talented team would not realize its potential out of the gate if a new coach is installing his system and culture. Thus even if WVU gets trounced by a not so great team down the road, that is not unreasonable. It's definitely more understandable than the ISU beating WVU took last year.
