are you insinuating he's playing? I thought the rule was pretty black and white.
not the rules. sounds like grounds for west henderson to claim an ineligible player.
what is there to appeal? he was either ejected or he wasn’t which invokes the rule or it doesn’t.Im assuming they appealed.
Probably got it reduced from an ejection to a disqualification. Based on the video I saw an ejection was not warranted. I was at the game but couldn’t see exactly what he did in real time. But let’s be honest, it doesn’t matter if he plays tomorrow or not.what is there to appeal? he was either ejected or he wasn’t which invokes the rule or it doesn’t.
i don’t think that’s decision that can be reduced. it’s a call based on the action and the consequence. a disqualification is procedural and wouldn’t require the player be removed from the field of play, only the game itself. i would be looking to see if he was sent to the locker room and not allowed to return to the sideline as that would tell you what the call on the field was. that’s not a decision that can be altered now. it was either an ejection from the beginning or it wasn’t.Probably got it reduced from an ejection to a disqualification. the rule does seem extreme and i believe it was altered when the education board took over the nchsaa. there was an article about it a few months ago. it doesn’t change endorsement of the rule no matter how unpopular.I was there and saw it. It wasnt the brightest thing to do. In honesty it wasn't a huge deal. He got removed from the game in first qtr I believe, so it was probably a fair punishment it's not like a county over where some one tried to myles Garrett a kid. If it happened towards end of game I could see running over to next game.
I don’t really care. I hope EL loses every game they play.i don’t think that’s decision that can be reduced. it’s a call based on the action and the consequence. a disqualification is procedural and wouldn’t require the player be removed from the field of play, only the game itself. i would be looking to see if he was sent to the locker room and not allowed to return to the sideline as that would tell you what the call on the field was. that’s not a decision that can be altered now. it was either an ejection from the beginning or it wasn’t.
Go bearcatsI don’t really care. I hope EL loses every game they play
a dq as i understand is procedural where the incident by itself may not warrant an ejection , such as a targeting call or multiple penalties or fouls of a certain type. an ejection is a call based on the severity of the incident such as a fight or threat which in this case was believed to be a gun gesture. we can argue whether it was or not but that was the call and any other decision after the fact seems like funny business by the nchsaa.I don’t really care. A Shelby player got ejected in a game this year and they appealed it and he was on the field the next week. Looking at tape helps if a call like that is made.i don’t think that’s decision that can be reduced. it’s a call based on the action and the consequence. a disqualification is procedural and wouldn’t require the player be removed from the field of play, only the game itself. i would be looking to see if he was sent to the locker room and not allowed to return to the sideline as that would tell you what the call on the field was. that’s not a decision that can be altered now. it was either an ejection from the beginning or it wasn’t.
