Bandys at East Lincoln (Game of the week. 2 high-powered offenses, I'm sure the defense coaches love this. Can Bandys defense keep it close enough or is East just too much...)
Bunker Hill vs Maiden (Shouldn't be many fireworks. Bunker had a good run the last few years)
Hickory at Newton Conover (@amaidendevil loves seeing Newton play East and Hickory in back to back weeks)
North Lincoln at West Iredell (should be a decent matchup. Hearing Norths' QB may be injured but not 100%)
Foard - Bye
Lincolnton at Burns (adding Lincolnton to the picks. Should be a good matchup. This conference is obviously very top heavy)

Pretty easy picks this week. Throw in some giggle remarks

East Lincoln over Bandys- a short distance classic for sure that goes way back. One that anyone thats a local gamer would love to go see. EL too athletic obvioulsy. 2 scores for EL

Maiden over the Hill- Punter just stay home. I mean hey he was only used maybe 2 times against North Lincoln

Hickory over Newton- will be a better game this year I'm pretty sure but Hickory just aint the old Hickory. They got this by 3 scores. Or 2 if its real good.

North Lincoln over West Iredell- come on, I know West is on a roll but who have they played?? North will face a better than usual WI team however if the D that dont hold up against good running games did ok against Wingate they'll limit WI. If East Burke could move the ball here and there against them in that first game, WI will not hold their ground against Agee.

Lincolnton over Burns- Lincolnton with the hot hand. can't say much else and they are young according to my friend Lincolnton that knows and tells all.

Started this one early and we aint went to Church yet

Not sure bout 400 yards but Agee and Alberti will have a time with them. It'll be West Iredells chance to show they're not cupcake IF... they're not cupcake. Good game to gage them on first of the season. Maiden game and Lincolnton game has North battle tested and we all know how well they can do if mistakes aint made. They suprised me in that Maiden game thats for sure. On paper they didnt get much credit coming into this season with all the graduates, Bazzel walking, and Wingate transfering. Even had a JV fella from last year transfer out. Youth on their side.

Bandys went 5 wide and KM didnt have a spy on qb nor blitz much. The dbs had really good coverage but the qb would just hit a lane and go with his speed.

North Lincoln at West Iredell: North Lincoln is a quarter away from being really hard to beat. Knights by 10

Bandys at East Lincoln: I’m looking for the Mustangs to win but they have to be careful. Bandys used to be the team that was one quarter shy of success, but now they’re there. East Lincoln by 10 in Flyrods game of the week.

Lincolnton at Burns: Hoping for a good game, here. I look forward to going up country on a road trip. Really I think the people in upper Cleveland has a more positive opinion of us kindly Lincolnton sorts, than do some other places…Well, maybe not, but it will still be nice to get away.

Maiden at Bunker Hill: The Bears might buck-up at the Blue Devils, some, but it will not be enough…Maiden by 18.

*Postscript: The Western Foothills is going to come down to a grand finale with East Lincoln V. Hickory in 5A, and if Bandys is 4A, their game with Maiden should be spectacular…On top of that and as much as some would like to discount them, Newton-Conover could be the sleeper.

*Side Note: Will Mallard Creek, make it back from the coast in time to get to Bunker hill ? Hustle up MC !

That was the final score ending the HHS JV's unbeaten string at 28. We can't make excuses, but if you had been there, you would understand the advesity the Red Tornaodes faced. They will be fine.
