Not MY team, so congrats to West Iredell. I'll be across the state next week. I understand your point, however, the O line had no injuries from what I was told at halftime. The West D was in the backfield. No single back option offense will work when the QB has a defender in his face, your single back is being tacked, and the corners are waiting for the pitch. Stay at home defense while exploding the middle takes away the options. That's how we ended those triple option wishbone and T offenses when they were around in the 80s and 90s. I've enjoyed coaching and watching high school football for over 40 years. My take was the NL is not a good team this year. WI is a good, not great team, that impressed me with their defense. No favorite, just an objective look.

WI QB a sophomore who played his first varsity game four weeks ago. Gotta start somewhere. But where was the O line???
They'll compete, but don't have the offense to keep up with EL or Hickory. They'd stand a better chance with Maiden if it were a home game. Don't see a win there either.
Blown away by West Iredell. That Warrior defensive line must be legit. So impressed with that goose egg….yeah I know…the Knights QB Burn’s didn’t play…but still very impressive.
How bout them Wolves?…that’s a great win in Cleveland county. I guarantee you…those Bull Dog fans were holding their breath on every offensive snap with the daggum Lynch's and Mayfield and the others….the Wolves offense is scary good.

We'll see... You people didn't have West winning last night... Look what happened... They won't win this conference but they will go to the playoffs... Playoffs means growth and elevation for this program... EXCITING!!!

West did an excellent job prepping for the triple option. They stayed on assignment and shut it down.

Watched the WI NL game. Both offenses seemed to be a little sloppy. West passes the eye test for sure!! Great looking athletes all over the field. I'll hunker down tonight for my 2 cents on a gameplan. Look forward to hosting you fellas next week.
We scrimmaged them and they impressed. They just didnt have alot of depth.
I don't know if Bunker Hill wins another game this year. I spent more time in Bunker hills end zone last night then Bunker Hill did. They might not have a competitive game again with the exception of Foard
They haven't played a real spread team yet so I'm curious to what their gameplan will be. Their DE on both side are very athletic.
Yeah I don’t understand em either but how in the world they have Lincolnton and Maiden up against the ropes here and there then nothing in the WI game. Wingate to Maiden and coach change but ALSO massive graduation loss. Most of those kids this year are off of a JV team of last year that was not that good. A rebuilding year for them with a great RB that will also be back next year. Maybe they’ll bounce back from this but it won’t be enough to do anything against EL and Hickory.
Appears BH got hit with the senior loss too.
Ok I know someone will disagree or maybe coaches and see it differently but. People see North Lincoln as a running team which they are, but they also think they just call a play and turn around hand it off so anyone can slide in at QB. But that's not how it works in North Lincoln triple option, the QB has to make as many and honestly more reads/decisions than a QB in spread. It's just not play 5 hand off to agee. The QB has to read the defense on the hand off to know to pull the ball back and keep it or option it on counter. And throwing a freshman QB in there expecting him to read the defense and make the right calls on to pull the ball or option it is far fetched. Mentally he's dealing with nerves and doubt on his decisions. And it's gonna affect rest of team also. This isn't a turn around and hand off offense. Now if ya want valid criticism NL defense isn't very good but West only managed 13 pts on offense. I'm last person to take up for any of our competitors but thinking a freshman QB is gonna step in and keep offense same as Sr QB is ridiculous.
Bunker Hill JV has avg 1 win a year for 3 years now I believe and middle school hasn't won any games for couple years I believe. We all knew this was coming when Willis left. They had a special group of kids for 3 years and now they are bunker hill again. Some people got more credit then they probably should have for last couple years. And some of the things needing cleaned up in Bunker hills play doesn't fall on players fully.
It was obvious the quarterback was in over his head. I wish they would have been more creative with #20. He was fun to watch when he got free but he like much of the offense was bottled up all night.
I agree with freshman in game and didn’t throw that into the equation with Bazzel gone, tons of graduates, and Wingate gone. I just hope North don’t slide into good group of kids then tallent drought for years again like seems to happen at East Burke a lot and now Draughn too

If u have nfhs network I suggest u watch the West iredell vs North Lincoln game. In my opinion I'd think we would come to the same conclusion as I stated above lol
When you hire a coach at the Middle School that doesn't develop players for 4/5 years this is what happens. All of those kids now are at the High School and for the next 4 years. Couple that with the Conference we all entered with the programs that have seen success it's a recipe for disaster!! The Middle school won 3 games last year with a group that are Freshman now. That coach all together won 5 games in the 4, 5 years he was there. The feeder program is in good shape with good people at the Optimist or Youth Organization. Those kids are not at fault, you are correct neither are the coaches who are doing the best they can, but when you don't develop and coach fundamentals this is what happens a cautionary tale here with Bunker Hill. This current team with this group didn't score but 1 touchdown all year at the Middle School post covid I believe and only because the team they played let them score. We all saw this coming with this game.
