East Lincoln at West Iredell (West Iredell complained about being in the same conference as the 5A teams during realignment. This game is the reason why. Not sure WI will have much success vs East.)

Hickory vs Maiden (Maiden has played a very easy schedule so far. Well, it gets tougher now starting with Hickory's homecoming. Can they hang with the big boys... One thing that will surely happen is their scoreless streak being snapped. Stressful week for @amaidendevil )

Newton Conover vs North Lincoln (Newton has a favorable schedule the rest of the way. Can they start building up stem and peaking for the last game of the season with Maiden and the playoffs... Not sure North has starting QB back yet, not sure it matters but seems like it would help morale in the locker room. Is the main RB still around for North?)

Lincolnton vs Bessemer City (Another bye for Lincolnton. Everyone looking ahead to the October 10th show down vs Shelby. Stay healthy)

Newton Conover- funny to say a year ago this matchup woulda been a joke but now it’s polar opposite. Had a feeling the season might be like this for North in the beginning but not this bad. I was a believer after the Lincolnton Maiden games that they’d be somewhat ok then the QB situation happened. . Knew the QB was out but Agee the RB out too? I didn’t know if he was, last game I watched was Maiden/NL. Anyway Newton by 3 scores

Lincolnton- surely there is tallent in Bessemer city, prob got kids that won’t play but you can say that bout every school or dang near it. Not much separation between the 2 but I think last time BC had a victory against Linc was 10 12 14 years ago major upset lol. Lincolnton man can tell us. I think WBTV said the last win before that——-1959!!! Elvis blew up, guys a few years away from getting jerked up to go to Vietnam, so yeah 2nd to last victory was when all that was going on.

I gave up asking bout NL QB. NL don’t have any front line knowledge fans/posters on this thing or not any more anyway lol. There was a BH fan last year and year before posting left and right and well…guess he disappeared into the shadows bless his heart, nothing to post bout. AMD had good inside scoop last 2 years on North and I think LHSWolves did too and may still but actual NL fans/alum posting I hadn’t seen it. I like the program but any intel I don’t have it. Just hearsay stuff

All I’ve heard was he was gonna miss several games but would likely be back before end of season. Hopefully that’s still the case. No idea how close he is to being back.

Dang. Well that’s how the game goes. It was devastating to see Hopkins (2006) go down for North like he did but they had enough tallent around him to make up some ground and season to be respectable. That type of offense North runs I can tell is rough on a sub. They prob ready to hit reset button and go at it next year cause they’ll have a lot back.

@Flyrod seems like an evenly matched overall schedule to me comparing the teams. But to point out that "so far" Maiden has played an easy schedule...well I would have argued, even before pulling the numbers, that Hickory's schedule has been easier than ours. Does it really matter overall? Nope. But thought I would make my counterpoint to whatever point you were making. Got nothing but love for you brother.

I look forward to Friday. This will be a barn burner for sure. Both defenses and both offenses are rolling. @CHEERDUCK if you aren't too busy before the game come find me! Would be interesting to hear what the Hickory crowd honestly thinks about the game...do you have any input?

Coach Glass will have all of the fellows ready to play and I believe this group is hungry for recognotion. Our defense has really surprised me this season and they will get after you. Coach Glass will have all of the fellows ready to play and I believe this group is hungry for recognotion. Our defense has really surprised me this season and they will get after you. The game should be a good one to watch.

A classic Watauga Hickory NW4A is badly needed. In the 90s and some 2000s this was an ugly matchup for those mtn boys.

According to maxpreps stats, Agee had 106 yards against Hickory the other night. I think NL was a 5-5 team before the QB went down.

Agee is very talented. He gained those yards on 25 carries with 40+coming in the 2nd half against reserves. I understand they have a back up at QB now, but the OL did not block well. It is a confidence issue more than anything else, IMO, on the offense. Other than a couple of miscues their execution was there, but HHS was reading their offense fairly well.
