Given our win and others teams results, what’s your new prediction for season record?

I say 6-6.
5-7 possible
7-5 possible but would need to stay really healthy and have some other teams slip up

must wins
Alcorn State
NIU

possible wins - need 2 of these
Florida - is USF good?
Arkansas
Missouri
Ole Miss - I don’t think they are nearly as good as they were last year or what people think. They’ll still win 7 or 8. Maybe 9 but highly unlikely

Unlikely but possible
Tennessee
Might would throw aTm in there but on road it’s unlikely

I would say 6-6. Gotta win 2 of Arkansas, Florida (who will have quit), and Ole Miss.

I want to see how our D-Line adapts without Whitson. If they don't improve as the season goes on we could very easily go 0 fer the SEC.
I went back and watched the second half ahain
Hurt losing him but we didn’t get gashed as bad as I thought

they schemed different on the first drive after half
We adjusted and stopped them on second drive
Then we gave the ball to them at midfield
Then we went 3 and out
At that point we were pretty darn tired

but we are gonna run into that in the SEC as well

but I think ASUs line is gonna be better than some of the SEC lines we face

not all of them obviously

5-7

The home-away schedule couldn't be worse. Our most winnable SEC games (Florida, Arkansas, Texas A&M, and Missouri) are all on the road.

5-7 but we will have a chance against Florida, UPIG, Ole Miss, & possibly Tennessee.
I was very impressed with Missouri Saturday. That game looks tougher than I expected previously.

Steen. Not really a problem tho having him available as backup would be nice. I'm still clinging to 6 and 6. I think Florida and OM are very possible wins. Containing Taylen Green will be difficult. Mizzou looks good. A&M maybe depending on QB situation

4-8 with 5-7 possible. The schedule after the first four is brutal.

Depth is just one of our major issues. Shapen has already stayed healthy longer than I expected.

I think we win easily this weekend, so my current prediction is 3-9.

5-7 without knowing how the defensive line will look without Whitson. If someone steps up on the d-line then 6-6 with an outside chance at 7-5.

5-7 is most likely, 6-6 possible with an Egg Bowl win. I think we lose to Tenn and A&M, but gain our confidence back with Florida who should be in shambles by the time we play them. Napier might not make it to our game and if we beat them, he may not make it past us.

Having Arkansas and Missouri on the road stinks because those are potential wins that get much more difficult on the road.

Regardless, it should be a much more enjoyable season to watch considering we should have a punchers chance in most games we play. Big change from the last two seasons.

5-7. One game better than my preseason prediction. Might have gone for 6-6 if Whitson was coming back.

5-7. 4-0 to start, 0-7 in SEC, then beat Ole Miss at home eliciting a typical emotional response where we extend Heavy.

Then 3-9 in 2026.

I'd say we are capable of getting 2 SEC wins but the home/away schedule isn't helping us out there. 5-7 seems realistic. Questions then will be "does that get the fans/money folks excited to continue to support NIL endeavors and will transfers/recruits view that as validation that Lebby can coach a little and think they can win in addition to getting PT". The latter part is the biggest missing piece in being able to really upgrade the roster relative to the SEC.

4-8 revised up with hindsight. 6-6 is possible, but not very likely given the schedule. What would be winnable games are on the road. That makes it tough.

I think we can get to 5 and I think Ole Miss is the best chance. I just am not sure beyond that. And it has some to do with us and also it’s a matter of I have no idea exactly how good half the teams on our schedule are.

Like… Georgia, Arkansas, A&M, and to an extent Ole Miss, have played absolutely nobody so far. And that’s not even mentioning Florida who just lost to a G5 team (a good one but still).

I mean Tennessee beat Syracuse and Mizzou beat Kansas, does that tell you just a ton? Not really to me.
