What age are blue jeans no longer appropriate on men?

Bro I’ve traveled the country (and London) to see live shows including thousands of dollars for festivals. I like music that you probably haven’t heard on your car FM
and that’s ok
im sure $800 ea for side seats at msg to see piano man is tremendous, I’d rather see LCD from the MSG floor at their feet

What are you trying to get from all this?

Someone to say you're so cool because you listen to **** music, and spend all your time and money doing so, and acting like the rebellious outcast teenager nobody wanted to be like, even though you're middle aged?

Rock on, The D!ck! ... er, Rick!

And what does this have to do with jeans? Is that part of your edginess? That you can take anything off topic and try to make it about you and your super coolness?

Ludd theory discussed: popular is better than unpopular as it relates to what sounds arr played on the radio and consumed by most people

example 1
is wildly popular song A better than the ricks unknown song B. (Ill say when I’ve seen B live)
Cher!

Courtney Barnett (seen twice)

example 2
38 special

natural child (seen 1nce)

example 3
Poison AWESOME heard it 5000 times on the radio!

Sonic Youth

popular is better?

First of all I said rock bands, Cher is not a rock band. Natural Child is good, the other two suck and yes, they’re worse than Poison and 38 Special. Just because you listen to stuff nobody else listens to, doesn’t make you an expert.

you like stairway to heaven but never listened to in through the out door. Sad

That's when I saw her .. ooh, I saw her
She walked in through the out door out door

She wore a raspberry beret
The kind you find at the second hand store
She wore a raspberry beret
And if it was warm, she wouldn't wear much more

A raspberry beret goes well with tight jeans.

listen, they address this topic in song

Traveling the country, spending money, and listening to music no one ever heard of doesn’t make you a music expert if you’re listening to bad music. You’re the kind of person that thinks if a band is popular, they’re not good and that’s just ridiculous. I’m quite sure I listen to a ton of music you’ve never heard of, so does that make me a superior expert in music?

I think he’d listen to a garbage disposal just to say he likes different stuff.
You saying enjoying an entire genre of music to be contrarian is dismissing the entire genre.
can you dismiss these guys:

or these guys:

or the kings of the DC scene:

And just cause you like FM pop hits doesn’t make you a lemming. It’s art bro

Name a band you’ve seen off the beaten path, I’m honestly curious. And I’m not flexing, I’m making fun of the beatles
(one of you knows this :):))

I wouldn’t call some of the stuff you post art. And I have rarely listened to FM radio. And with a lot of the groups I like that do have stuff on the radio, I like a lot of their stuff that didn’t get radio play better. I was never a big top 40 fan, but I can recognize that many of those bands and artists were talented. I just didn’t like them much….kind of like the Beatles….i was never a fan, but I realize they were talented and had a huge impact on music.

But apparently it’s only art if it’s a group you like and one that’s not popular. Yelling and screaming while banging instruments is not art, it’s noise.
you know porn when I see it right? You know who calls punk rock noise? My 90 yo pop (who loved Brubeck and Pink Floyd)

So what’s the f ing problem? Oh, you like should I stay or should I go and rock the casbah…..sigh
Both good songs along with a lot of others. And I was listening to Combat Rock before it ever came out on the radio. You’re proving my point….just because something is popular doesn’t make it bad. There’s a reason people like it….because it’s good.

Not an age rule, a preference. I’m also too old to hand out at teeny bopper bars, so there are appropriate age rules. I don’t want to be the creepy old guy.

FFS you just stay on your compound? What are your self governed permissible locations? Walmart, depot, moose lodge? And I’m still waiting to hear about all those bands I’m not cool enough to know about

I didn’t say tasteful, I said taste, as in my personal preferences. I don’t like most punk music and never have regardless of my age. I also don’t like heavy metal…again, it’s a personal preference. If others like it, great, but I’m not going to agree that it’s good. That’s the beauty of music, so much of it out there for people to find what they enjoy.

I’m confused by your tactics and unlike our good doctor, I have to be up at 5:30.

Nowhere that is predominantly occupied by people that are younger than my kids. I did more than my share of bar hopping, going to watch bands, dancing, drinking….I don’t need to keep trying to relive my youth.
