What are our chances against Vandy?

I suspect that this will be a home game for them.

We played them close the first time, but I thought that it was not as close as the final score...

I guess it will be the SEC Coach of the Year, with his #20 ranked team, and a large home fan base against poor little ole Mississippi State and Coach Stansbury...

at Vandy. We don't match up well with their size, but to have a chance we need Kodi and RO to play big in the paint and keep them off of the boards. They go attempt more ft's than anyone in the SEC, so we need to play "clean" (stay out of foul trouble), and if we shoot like last night we will have a damn good chance. Unfortunately, we need to play our best ball, almost flawless, to win this tourney, going to be tough.

Because we aren't playing, idiot. We lost in the quarters because of our stupid coach. One and done, remember????

Wait, what?

He's been playing at a pretty high level the past few games for Vanderbilt, and I just have a bad feeling that he could have one of those games against us today.

....if we win (and get in the dance), that's 3 straight trips and 7 of 9 years. That is just really hard to argue with. On the other hand, lose and not make it, and we're 2 out of the last 5 years, and if we don't make it next year, 2 of 6.

If we make it, do Cunningham, Kirby, and Grant get a pass? Does Rick get a pass next year as well with Jarvis leaving?

This is a huge day. A lot is on the line.

If we win today and that makes us the last team in the tournament, assuming that's as far as we get, this season is still a disappointment.

Anyone who says that at the beginning of the season they would have considered a 9-7 conference record and a 12-seed in the NCAAT a success is kidding themselves. We all had loftier ambitions than that.

I also think that since we lost the regular season game, we'll have a little extra motivation. It's never easy for the team that won the regular season game to pick up the sweep in the tourney.

way you can ask that any changes be made or judge your program is on NCAA appearances. That's the bar.

Yeah, for this season not to be a disappointment, we'd have to get to get to the second weekend, and our seeding is once again going to kill us in that department. Barring that, we have underachieved tournament or no tournament.

..when you said the other day Stansbury's recruting has dropped off since the early 2000's.

If, like you say, Stansbury recruiting has dropped off since the early 2000's, wouldn't that mean Stansbury is doing more with less this season?

It's amazing how you idiots constantly contradict yourselves & think nothing of it.

His recruiting has dropped off and he has also underachieved this year. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

Of course, your basketball knowledge leaves a little to be desired since you would rather have had Jarvis on that 2004 team than Lawrence Roberts.
