St Louis in August to see the Cubs/Cards is all I have planned now. Thinking of flying to the beach one weekend now that Southern Airways Express is open for business. I wish they'd offer the same rate Olive Branch to Destin as Oxford to Destin. $18 one way.
I am planning on going down to Riviera Maya to stay a week at the Iberostar (Big Break Mexico site). Take the GF, and play a little golf on that track with some of my golf buddies.

Be careful! A few people have recently gotten killed out there from rip currents. Rips have been real bad the last week or two.

We took our daugter last year the last few days of September through the first week of October. Ill activly try to never go during another time frame. Ive been in the summer... Its 17ing misserable.

Did San Fran/Maui/Honolulu the week of Memorial Day. Heading to Los Angeles (wedding) and then China (10 day work trip) this weekend.
Got a trip planned to Las Vegas (babymoon), Kansas City (nephew's birthday), and Maine (party with some friends) in July.
Most likely going to Argentina for work in August.

Nebraska on June 21st. Then on the 22nd and 23rd I might take my son, drive up to Mt. Rushmore (since we've never been) and return to the city again for June 24th and 25th. We plan to eat like kings, have some fun and see the sights. Heck, we might even watch a few baseball games while we're there...

5 day cruise in August. Depart New Orleans, visit Cancun and Yucatan. I've been around the world a few times on various ships, this will be my first trip to sea as a passenger. Looking forward to this. A night or two in the big easy is planned as well.
Going to New Orleans for a wedding/mini vacation in two weeks then next month to the Ozarks to stay in a cabin and do some boating/golfing/a whole lot of relaxation for a week.
yah, I have been down near tulum several times. I really like it south of playa, and Playa has a neat feel to it. Lots of cigar bars and such. A corona commercial was filmed there. I have stayed a week at the Blue Bay Esmerelda before. First time for golfing though. Myacoba is right up the street where they have the PGA tour event.
So I hear! That and I always worry about sharks while I'm out swimming in the Gulf. I won't ever forget the news story I read about a Robertsdale principal having to break his own arm off in a shark's mouth about 15 years ago while swimming on the coast so he could get away. That happened that year where all those different shark attacks were happening in Gulf waters.
I'm planning a trip with the wife to either Fort Walton, Destin, or Panama City Beach this time next year. Which of those cities do you guys prefer best? From what I hear, Panama City is the party town, Destin is the more upscale of the three, and Fort Walton is the most laid back. Right now I'm favoring Fort Walton because of it sounding more quiet between the three, plus it's a shorter drive from Waynesboro, MS. I've always gone to the Alabama beaches, but I hear the water is bluer and the sand whiter once you get into Florida. What do you guys think?
I prefer Destin for the snorkeling at the jetties. Its like swimming in an aquarium. Tropical fish everywhere. It is really amazing and probably the best snorkeling you can get without finding a reef in the Keys or somewhere like that.
And the water in Destin is usually swimming pool clear.

Here right now in fact. I can work remotely and I made a decision while my kids are small to let them experience the beach for a month during the summer. This is the 2nd year I've done it. I have to stay inside and work most week days but being able to go out with them at lunch or late afternoon is worth the sacrifice. Before long they will be playing ball or other activities that take up summer so now is the time. We will remember these summers our entire life.

The clearest water is from about Pensacola though Panama City beach. Will never go back to orange beach/gulf shores.
Went out to shell island on the Far East end of PCB and that was some of the clearest water I've ever seen.
Pcb isn't too bad as far as partying goes in the middle of the summer.
We usually shop at pier park and drive to the outlets/mall in destin.

Im typing this at a swim up bar at the Caribe Hilton in Puerto Rico. The pina colada was invented here.

Started off rough... one of those drownings happened Sunday right outside our balcony....body finally washed up around Tuesday. If you have to do a condo vs a house the beach club is pretty dang nice and not crowded

Haha I went several years in a row for the 4th. I'm guessing we were on some of the same trips.
