My favorite part of all of this is theres still a large part of their fanbase and I suspect Tom Jurich believes that Indiana Basketball is setting Louisville up a frame job. As if Indiana Basketball could have any impact on college basketball in this day and age. Its all to priceless. Floyd Street verses Clappy in a fight to the death.

Six Things We Learned from 'Breaking Cardinal Rules'

Read this if you haven't had a chance to read the book. Pretty much cliffnotes on the book. I found it interesting that Antonio Blakeney was called out specifically. I wonder how this will affect him at LSU.

http://www.sportingnews.com/list/46...king-cardinal-rules-review-ncaa-investigation

From the article: "According to her diary, McGee and Powell's relationship soured in mid-2012 after McGee allegedly asked her to bring "clean white girls, that are down to f—." [laughing]

You really think that? Absurd.
I don't just think it I know. I see it every weekend when my friends go to visit schools. It's obviously not as extreme as the Louisville situation, but 95 percent of the time recruits are taken to parties and as most of you know, at parties there will be women.

Thats a really good breakdown and a quick read. Things that stuck out to me:

1) She was going to break this a year ago but was told that if she did her life could be in danger. My goodness.

2) Her daughter sending an instagram pic asking Antonio Blakeney if he remembered her from Embassy Suites and him responding with "Yeah I do"

I don't think anyone would dispute that recruits are taken to parties full of women. You understand what an "escort" is though right?

Yeah, and how do you know? And if you do, that says more about you and your program than you can imagine. Why don't you go put on your Redlegs and get the hell out of here?

I remember someone here had a quote in their sig from a former UT player, I think it was Stokes. It was something along the lines of at every visit I would get taken to wild parties, but at UK they took me to watch practice. It was something like that, and for some reason that's always brought a chuckle out of me.

I have a hard time seeing every university financing hookers for recruits/ players. Not going act like these guys aren't wined and dined though, and I'm sure girls get funneled in throughout campus. But 10 gs for some hood rats? To take a line from Cal " you people are crazy."

I know!! that's why I said it's not as extreme as the Louisville situation. I think the Louisville situation is disturbing and clearly illegal. I wasn't defending what happened.

Blakeney, hmm. Interesting. He hates UL to begin with. I wonder if any authorities will speak with him. He could be the thread that unravels the whole thing.

well you obviously haven't been on the board enough this week if you don't know who I am...

Yeah, I do. You are a simply another KU troll. So many KU trolls these days on here. It's all about insecurity. But, thanks for letting me get another chance to point it out.

Come on now, someone on here let this person know what's up. This is just laughable.

I want to clarify, my initial post was not saying these things are okay. I was simply pointing out that it is an issue at more schools than just Louisville... maybe not as extreme all the time, but is something that needs to be cleaned up. For some reason, a couple people took this the wrong way and are acting like I'm saying it's okay for all this and defending Louisville. Which is not true at all.

He is right though. I mean even on the low major level. Not to the existence that the coaching staff "pays and hires" prostitutes but it happens. For example.... coaches will give out "dinner money" to compensate for a "late practice or workout" where the individual "missed dinner". This individual is the same person who is hosting the recruit. This money can be used for whatever but it is generally assumed that it will be used for.

The players then can get their own women over. **This is what I do not get.... you don't really need to pay for this kind of thing.*** Its in the recruits hands from thereon. He can choose to lay with the sloot that the entire football and basketball team has went through in the past week or not.

Basically its just about showing the recruit what the college life of an athlete would be like at said school would be like. Honestly its not that SHOCKING and it get rather old after while. I much rather go to the bar and try to land something.

I can't imagine anything even close to this happens at top schools. Why would it need to.
it doesn't. The top players aren't going to a school to party. They're going to win a championship and prepare for the NBA. That being said, a lot of them still enjoy having a social life, and are taken to parties on their officials. That doesn't mean they get thrown girls, alcohol and drugs.

Exactly, I've seen this happen from the low-major level to high major level.

Do you deny you are a KU fan? And do you deny that you have not seen these things at your chosen school? You can recount now if you want to save face.

Someone who actually knows why I am on this board please explain to this person so I have to stop dealing with this. I am a KU fan and have no idea what happens there.

He is the JR. point guard at Wenyen Gabriel's prep school. He broke the Wenyen Gabriel to UK night before anyone else knew.

I am sure he has seen/heard the stuff he is talking about.

I don't think you're saying it's ok. What got my attention is you saying "schools provide". I can see the guys taking a recruit to a typical college party. Yep, been there, so I understand the rest of your point, but schools provide this? That really struck me as crazy risky on their part if that is really happening.

I think everyone can see your point, but you have to admit its quite the stretch to try and compare what goes on at "most schools" with what the book says allegedly happened at UL. Prostitutes and drugs is quite the long jump from college parties and presumably drunk and promiscuous college girls wanting to please a high school recruit. You see what I am saying? Thats why so many are a bit up in arms when you try and say "this happens everywhere". Because it doesn't. Recruits getting wined and dined happens everywhere, but Heads of basketball operations paying and providing escort services do NOT. You can't make that correlation. Two totally different stratospheres.

I agree with what you are saying. The second part is what happens, and I should of clarified what I mean in my first post. But as you can see, most people understood what I was trying to say. But you are exactly right with what happens.

I don't know who you are and don't care. You said most "schools" provide these parties and women. That is not true. Hosts, that are normally players, take them to parties. Sororities may party with them. But, "schools" do not buy whores for recruits.

McGee was an EMPLOYEE of UL. As a representative of UL, when HE provided whores, UL provided whores. Rick Pitino provided whores. This is not a common occurrence or it would be common knowledge.

i thought joaquin phoenix played in that?

Joaquin is too busy in the atlantic right now, that's why Matt had to fill in.

Why bring his politics into such a joyous time. I doubt either Republicans or Democrats are in favor of prostitution.
