The Book " Raw Recruits" by Alexander Wolff has brought some unpleasant reality to the current scandal at uavel...On Page 244 The Author mentions that Pitino's Boston University team was taken to a strip club after a
win and Ricky handed out dollar bills for gstring stuffing. Then he sat on front row leading the wolf whistles and cheers.Ruh Roh...makes the current situation take a dose of reality..see Tim Sullivan's column at Courier-Journal.com for full story..
Just keeps piling on for our ex Coach..Stay Tuned..:chairshot:

IN before it reaches 100.
Cortnul fans have had their heads down and eyes closed throwing blind haymakers since John came to Lexington. Now they're getting pounded by an avalanche of uppercuts and straight rights and lefts. I'm having a blast laughin at this stuff and it may last for months or years.

I like it, this snowball is rolling downhill and will grow as it rolls. Down go the dirty birds, I hope it rolls over top of Zipp on its way to lights out at the chicken bucket.

This reminds me of when Gatti fought Mayweather. I knew Gatti was going to take a beating but I couldn't quit watching.

Has anyone bright up the "does Texas really want a guy that's running a rogue athletics department" comment and conversation from yesterday? This thread has gotten so fat so fast I can't keep track. For someone in national media to finally say that, to finally piece together Sypher + Petrino's rehire + Devonte Fields + Whoregate (they didn't mention Willie Williams or Michael Dyer or, most notably, Clint Hurt) and draw the obvious conclusion was a beautiful thing. The Rogues fits much better than the Cards.....

Don't you know?
They thought it was a restaurant. When they saw all they served was day old fish and tacos they left.
When I'm in a strange town and I see a establishment named something like Gold Club, Mons Venus, or Pink Pony, I say:
"I bet they serve a good steak in there."

Just a wild guess.... are the family members in Waddy a lot smarter than you ?

Smart is a subjective term that cannot be objectified unless the entire collective consciousness reaches an agreement. You appear to define intelligence only based on fan allegiance. Based on that logic all UK fans are geniuses. I am a Louisville fan so according to your definition of 'smart' that probably means I am barely able to form complete sentences.

Pretty much.

I want it to be true. What would be better though, would be if it wasn't true, but ul was punished for it just like it was. Is that wrong?

Right and wrong are aspects of duality and depend on each other to exist. Looking past 'right' and 'wrong' you are at least being honest which I prefer over denial.

If a UL fan wants to be considered intelligent , they first need to admit that pictures of hookers with basketball players in the dorm is bad , real bad. The fact McGee admitted to knowing Katina is bad because he would of known she was a madam of an escort service and her girls were prostitutes. Which would mean a staff member knew prostitutes were in the Cardinal Dorm.

That right there may not be enough for the NCAA to punish UL but its enough that UL should punish itself to show the world it won't stand for that type of behavior.

At the least McGee will be forced to admit he provided strippers, the under-agers were not involved, and any sex was without his knowledge, and if so was consensual and non-transactional.
On the other end, the sky is the limit.

Without thought, do we exist? Thought is nothing more than electrical impulses so in conclusion..... I'd like a Grande Chocolate Latte.....

This isn't philosophy class archimedes.... next time try to segue better.

You can't be surprised there are hookers around the program, Pitino wore this to a game!

Still trying to figure out how that unbelievable idiot Ramsey got the goods on him. Maybe I missed it. But if anyone lets that tool outsmart them, they probably need a drug test.

Here's a link to the article:

LCJ's Sullivan | Distant past poses Pitino new Problem

From the article:
According to the 1990 book written by Alexander Wolff and Armen Keteyian, Pitino’s Boston University team made at least one unscheduled stop following a road game for adult entertainment.

“After one upset victory at Rhode Island,” the book says, “Pitino was so juiced he ordered the team bus to stop at a strip joint on the way back to campus. There he led his players in wolf whistles, even disbursing dollar bills so they could stuff them into the dancers’ G-strings.”

Later the story mentions:

Wolff, a staff writer at Sports Illustrated, said he would seek permission before sharing the source of the strip joint story, but that so much time had elapsed that he could no longer remember who it was.

“The book was thoroughly vetted and lawyered,” Wolff said. “We were sued, but we had our ducks in a row, and the plaintiff ended up dropping the suit.

While I have no idea if the account about the strip club was true or not, I have a hard time believing Wolff that he can't remember who his source was. For starters, I would have to assume that the source had to be either a player or staff member on the team who was physically there (if it wasn't then why would Wolff include such a thing second-hand ?)

Given that it must have been a player or staff member, that narrows the pool of potential sources down considerably. Wolff can compare the sources he used for the book against this group of people and it can't be more than a handful of persons. He should be able to figure this out on his own or with a few phone calls.

Also I'm not sure what he's referring to about them being sued. He doesn't say exactly what they were sued over. But if it had anything to do with this particular passage (which I highly doubt) then of course he should remember the basis for it. If they were being sued about something else, then it's really not directly relevant to this question.

Sure seemed like Cady was very confident in general and specifically in the texts and says things will be clearer in the bound edition. Cady hasn't backed down from doing the rounds on almost any and every show there is, I know he wants to sell books but he wouldn't be so brazen if he didn't think it would be backed up.

In all seriousness we can understand how they are desperate to hang onto anything and pick stuff apart BUT any rational Card fan should realize their goose is cooked.

When you sum Rick's life up, his storyline will be: one of the greatest coaches ever. But when it comes to moral character and integrity, he consistently was his own worst enemy.
