and sufficient reason for UL to not fire him ,I read it was in his contract that he couldn't be held accountable for people under him when they committed illegal acts,tells me he knew what was going on and covered his *** in his latest contract extension.
I don't believe it reads exactly like that.

4.1.9 Demonstrateacute sensitivity to and support ofthe core values ofthe
academicinstitution; and
4.1.10 Eixpendhisdiligenteffortsto recruitdirectlyorthrough hisassistants,only
studentathletesofgood!characterandadequateacademicpreparation.
Here is the link to the entire contract. Easy to argue that he did not act in a "diligent" manner pertaining to Andre McGee's recruiting tactics if they involved over two dozen players covering four years.
