I like it when the turds are firm yet not too hard to cause strain. You look over and the toilet paper roll is over half full. Someone posts something that’s totally wrong, not just normal wrong but hilariously wrong and a witty reply pops into your head between squeezes. You then get a minimum of 2.7 likes and one witty reply. It’s almost a perfect day.

Sixpack is a jewel and one of the greatest message boards ever to be created. I love coming onto the site and not knowing what I am going to see. I do know I am going to get a good laugh each visit. True Maroon is great, but it is the Old Waverly of the two sites. Sixpack is Green Oaks. Our greens suck, but you are going to have one hell of a time. You might see something that scars you for life, but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Thank you, Gene, for giving the founders the push to start this site.

SPS is like a mental laxative. It purges ones mind of useless scat and fills it with valuable knowledge.

@Swede39 's insights are always interesting. How do we get more former players to join this motley crew?

We've probably pizzed most of them off by now talking about their shi-tty blocking, shi-tty 3 point or free throw percentage, their shi-tty fielding hitting or pitching, or their fat little girl friends so I wouldn't count on many former players

Remember, the silent ones go THROUGH the turd.

Or called them noodles etc. Nothing wrong with being critical of the way a player played in a game or a few games.

Not necessarily in this order:

Winning the National Championship
Winning the Egg Bowl
Winning any sporting event against OM
Winning
Socks
Obvious troll threads
Delete threads can turn hilarious as well
Meme thread (It sucked me in, I am duty bound at this point)
SPS "figuring out" larger global socio-economic issues in which we are all experts
Ask SPS threads that result in Unintended Consequences

Off season solving of household issues is good too...well, can be. (See socks)

Any NSFW posts, game threads, and MS-specific posts.

I try to avoid the political threats, especially now that we're only one week into a new administration. But of course, I like to give people a chance to hang themselves or get ahead before I send them to the gallows.

Now that threaded view is gone (RIP to a real one), I legitimately don't understand caring strongly about topics that aren't interesting to you. I simply cannot bring myself to give a solitary 17 about college baseball, women's basketballball, comic book/sci-fi/fantasy shows/movies, or SEC shorts - these topics get discussed routinely here and it couldn't be easier to slide right over them.

In those situations you have to give relentless strain.

Besides the MSU sports topics, I appreciate the topics with advice on travel, cars, appliances, etc. It's like Reddit, with an overall smarter population.

I tend to look for threads with a reasonable number of posts. Other than the memes post, if I see a post with more than 100 replies it's probably gone off the rails.

Muting folks can be awesome. I have one or two muted and it's like when Peaches left. I have not missed seeing their posts at all and the board is generally more enjoyable.

ETA: The meme thread is the gift that keeps on giving.

If they took a little time to read the board, they might see that some here actually get a lot rougher treatment than they do. Granted theirs uses their real names. On here it's Keyboard Royale.

I love the travel, food, booze related ones.
I like the Ms related ones for reasons others mentioned, keeping up to date.
I also liked the return of Jethreaux!

I tell my friends this : the great thing about the board is that it's people from MSU (awseome common ground) , a lot have moved away and a lot stayed. So it's an all knowing collective group on a wide range of topics. Heck, even glfr makes good points sometime!
