Flames are licking your *** on multiple SEC message boards regarding what you know about "the tapes!"

Supposedly you and Scott Moore have listened to "the tapes!"

And "the tapes!" contain an admission that the CN group had two offers on the table when they approached MSU: Tennessee was in for $150k and AU was in for $180k.

So, Matt, let's have it. What do you know?

An Auburn poster on Rivals is claiming something Matt said on his Tupelo radio show was more damaging than the McGlover/HBO stuff. I haven't heard. Anybody?

Scott Moore somewhat described what's on the tapes. He said there are tapes and text messages of Cecil asking for money from MSU, and in these tapes and messages he states that TN offered $150k and AU offered $180k. He said the tapes were pretty damning, which I interpret as there is much more on the tapes because those statements, alone, by Cecil are not damning, in my opinion.

At the end of the conversation, Moore asked Matt to confirm the content, and Matt did so, saying that he had also heard the tape(s).</p>

1) could still be tied up in fbi/irs/criminal investigations and ordered to be kept private?<div>
</div><div>2) slive/sec/ncaa are pressuring them to keep the tapes out of the public, and the media and those associated with msu are trying to get the public riled up to put the pressure on the ncaa to move quickly with the trump card ultimately being that if the ncaa doesn't move quickly the tapes will go public.</div><div>
</div><div>the ncaa does not want to move quickly, see the usc/reggie bush ruling. why? they want to put as much time as possible between the title won on the field and the ruling that the title was won fraudulently. people forget and get preoccupied with other **** and when the ruling comes out, who cares if usc gives back a title from 5 or 6 years ago. now start ruling on teams and making them give back titles months after winning it, then the public is gonna be furious and wonder why they invested so much time and emotion and money into CFB if it's such a huge fraud and the ncaa will either have to legitimately start trying to stop cheating or they will begin to quickly lose the fan bases of most schools.</div>

it was Scott Moore saying in the interview that there are tapes out there and Scott Moore has heard them. Wyatt was just confirming tapes were out there, which we all know anyway, but he has yet to hear them.

Bond has been put through the ringer on this. We go screwed and if there is information out there it is time for the public to know.</p>

because the FBI is investigating someone and they told someone to lock down everything until they are finish with thier investigation. Plus he and another radio host in Alabama had a joint show yesterday for about 30 minutes or so. I missed it.

Moore also said that there was nothing that he heard on said tapes that would incriminate MSU in his opinion. So, it makes for an interesting argument since we've seen recently of accounts saying "the tapes" contain information that could lead to MSU getting "hammered".

If all the tapes detail is that Cecil Newton claimed UT and AU bid on Cam, that proves nothing. All that says is he's trying to work a deal - a simple sales tactic. If I were UT or AU and I got in trouble for that with no corroborating evidence, it's law suit time.

Perhaps Cecil name dropped? If he starts putting specific names to the bids, then we are getting somewhere, but that still proves little until something else is shown that can back up his statements.

If these fools are hyping up Cecil simply stating that UT and AU were in on the bidding process, that's not going to get us anywhere closer to a point where it incriminates anyone. In fact, it just brings even more attention that there was some sort of dialogue between MSU boosters and Cecil regarding money. I'd rather not draw any more attention to that than there already has. Unless there is hard evidence that clears our name (i.e. documents that we swiftly said "no" to Cecil and sent him on his way) and/or puts blame on someone else, it's best our people shut their traps (perhaps our people aren't involved at this point, but Bonds name was recently brought up, so that could be the case).

If there is something truly damning on other parties, fire away. I just have a feeling many are going to be very disappointed once this next bit of news is aired.

but there are moderators, not just posters, on numerous sites around the league confirming that "Wyatt has heard the tapes."

Thanks for straightening that up.

17 it. Open season on buying recruits as long as the recruit doesn't know about the deal. That is what I am hearing from the NCAA with this ********. 180K, cheap price to pay for a national championship. I am tired of this crap.

Rule 1 - never discuss over the phone and everyone in the room has been checked for a wire.
Rule 2 - Make sure you are the best possibility for the SEC to win the National Championship.

If those two rules are followed, the NCAA and the SEC will not touch you until after you win it.

Or maybe all this is just stupid to talk about until something is done about the "All In" family.

these tapes actually exist and CN is heard saying UT and AU was offerring money, what was MSU's offer/bid, could he be brought up on some federal offense of trafficing humans or something like that. Because if he cannot be forced to prove these schools offered money than all the school has to do is deny it ever happened. Then again we look stupid. Unless we can come up with a smoking gun then I say let the Bama boys deal with it.

I don't understand how people keep saying this. The NCAA has not authorized buying recruits. They authorized soliciting benefits on behalf of recruits as long as the recruit didn't know about it AND ULTIMATELY RECEIVED NO BENEFIT. If it had been proven at the time that Cecil received money, this would have been an entirely different situation. That's not to say he didn't receive money in reality, but the NCAA has no proof of a transfer of any benefits.

Now, the NCAA may be sitting on evidence that there was, in fact, benefits exchange (likely to stable to turbulent seas and preserve the big money National Championship game feature the Heisman Trophy winner) - but that's an entirely different argument. If that's the case, I have this question for you: Do you think the NCAA would treat MSU the same and the roles were reversed? Hell no. That evidence would have been disclosed and Cam would have been ruled ineligible on the spot. The NCAA might have weaseled out of a decision they could have made in order to preserve order, but they in no form or fashion said it is okay to buy players. It's still against the rules.

These have to be tapes, if they exist, of Bell's conversation with Rogers and Pimp Daddy. That's my guess. And I figure it's Rogers doing the talking with the Pimp not saying much of anything.

You think it was Cecil who said, "the money is too good?"

That was definitely Cameron Newton. But I don't believe for a second that Megan/Dan recorded that conversation. Now, I could be wrong about that, but I don't believe there are tapes of that conversation.

The conversation that was recorded, if it was recorded, is Bell/Rogers/Pimp.

I talked to Wyatt and he said he was up against the music and didn't have time to correct him. He said it sounds like he has heard the tapes according to the way he responded but he has not heard the tapes

conference boards were blowing up about Wyatt having "heard the tapes." If I'm Wyatt, I'm on the phone with Moore ASAP telling him not to repeat the "Matt Wyatt has heard the tapes, too" line.
