What did Vandy do to get where they are?

He has been 2-10, 5-7, 2-10 at Vandy. Is Pavia that much of a difference maker?

Kentucky isn't great but they beat them at Kentucky. Then of course you have the Bama win.
Yes a good QB makes all the difference in the world. Just like the guy said on the broadcast saturday...it's like putting food coloring into water. It changes the whole liquid to that color. Because he is so good and such a good leader, he's got his teammates believing they can beat anybody.

Kentucky isn't even good. Mark Stoops is the most overrated coach in college football.
I can't agree with this based on what he did in that football wasteland over the last 6 years.

2 10 win seasons
Beat Tennessee in Knoxville for the 1st time since 1984
Beat Florida for the first time since 1986
1st new years bowl since 1951

He's already the winningest coach in UK history. Just saying.

76-68 overall. 36-58 in the SEC. Only 2 seasons ranked in top 25 (none in top 10). Not a bad coach at all. But nowhere near as good as his hype.

They hype is because he has done all that at Kentucky, as Grove Sh.tter pointed out. Kentucky.

What hype does he have?
He’s been there a while now, so the word “hype” can die down or become stagnant. He’s now wrongly judged or criticized because he’s subject to his own success that’s he’s had at Kentucky. In the same way our own Rick Stansbury was. People forgot or are unknowing about Kentucky football before he came there. Sometimes you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone. A lot of people on this board ought to understand that by now with, especially with regards to basketball and football.

They hired a good mid major coach and brought over a bunch of his players that could play. We have the template. Will Salmon do it
Can you be a little more specific on what you want Selman to do here that Vandy did?
Kil isn’t the head coach he’s the special assistant to the HC.

The new Vandy OC is Jerry Kill, the former coach at Minnesota and New Mexico. Kill has epilepsy. He quit at NM because of the stress. Vandy doesn’t care if you win, you know, less stress, less seizures.
Kepra (seizure med) usually negates future seizures.
