School Board approved today to make Southern Vance and Northern Vance back to 1 HighSchool...

How would they do future schedules...

Yep. Northern Vance And Southern Vance are in the same 1A/2A split conference (Northern Carolina). When they merge, they'll be a medium to large size 3A, and either move to the Big East, or to the Big 8, which may become the "Big 9."

Wonder how good this and the new Montgomery County School will be in the 3A ranks once they are combined.

As for the new Montgomery Central HS, I am thinking that they will most likely land in a conference with SW Randolph and Asheboro.

Sad but excited to see the future in Vance County, students get to pick colors knick-name, a whole fresh start ..

Heard the colors were going to be green and black....not sure about the teams yet, but of the choices I heard, my personal favorite possibility was the Vipers

I remember when the high school was called Vance Senior High before the school split in 1990 due to population growth. But the student population has been falling, as well as the overall county population. Makes sense to me to go back to one high school.
