What I see is a coaching mutiny at Clemson.

Syracuse looking determined early.

When you have a personality like Dabo trying a little too hard to be everything to everyone, your position coaches and coordinators pull back. I see Dabo pressing on them and they all have the same look.

That press conference this week was a huge mistake for a leader. Telling everyone to pound sand since you have options is referred to in some book I read once. “Pride is before a crash” is ringing in my head. Perhaps someone can find that quote somewhere and show it to Pastor Swinney.

****

Clemson has their Joe Moorhead. You hate to see it.

Dabbo Swinney and Joe Mo head should never be mentioned in the same sentence

But Dabbo should STFU

Hearing Boo birds in Death Valley before that punt.

“They should go pound sand. I’ll go prosper somewhere else!!! Winning!!!”

He has played the same offense for his whole career. WR screens and go routes. Looks like UF when Spurrier was there. The QB is prob the worst one he’s ever had. With all teams paying players now he’s prob not on anyone’s top 5 list. Defense is real bad.

That pooch punt was absolutely the right call and perfectly executed. Syracuse came to play 4 quarters and has no respect for Dabo’s offense.

I would have been okay with Joe winning a few national championships and THEN telling me to pound sand
Y’all comparing apples and oranges.

When you consider career success, yes, this is not a fair comparison.

The ego and lack of humility is the similarity I’m highlighting.

When a man thinks he is bigger than the program and bites the hands feeding him, he deserves every ounce shittsplatter about to come his way.

2nd worst. Ukulele. Dabo is like a fish out of water in this NIL/portal era. Everyone in the other thread slobbering all over him needs to realize if we ever did hire Dabo Swinney we wouldn’t be getting the coach who lost 6 games in 6 years. We’d be getting something a lot closer to this years Dabo Swinney.

Agree with this but hard-headed Dabo in the portal era is a markedly worse coach.

But all he has to do is decide to use the portal, and he’s probably back at the top.
I don’t disagree with your arrogant a$$ but didnt he return a ton from his defense that was really good?

eta: im joking a little!

He did. But that’s obviously not enough.

College football (or any other sport) is nothing but the accumulation of talent. If you can’t get better players, you better pick a scheme and recruit players to that. Dabo is still trying to the former with one hand tied behind his back.

Dabo is a b*tch. He has let the program that he built (to his credit) slip because he refused to adapt to modern college football and everyone has been telling him this for 4 years and instead of admitting he isn’t smarter than literally everyone else he is telling everyone to pound sand. He deserves to fail for being so arrogant.

They're not gonna fire him. He's won too many Championships there. They may tell him to organize his Portal recruiting better and restructure some of his coaching staff.
