No, that prediction was the epitome of why so many people get tired of C34. First he posted about 100 times "we won't miss Anthony Dixon", when what he really meant was "the offense will be fine without Dixon". To state that we "wouldn't miss him" rubbed a lot of people the wrong way and caused tons of bickering when we could have been discussing how the offense might actually be better even without Dixon carrying the ball.
See, the problem was, even if the offense improved in 2010, perhaps it would have been even better if Dixon was still playing.
So, I asked C34 to state, objectively, what he meant by "we won't miss Dixon." After a bunch of hemming and hawing, he eventually stated a prediction, that the QBs and RBs in 2010 would compile more rushing yards than the QBs and RBs did in 2009. He was wrong, the rushing numbers did go down.
But, in typical C34 abrasive fashion, he wouldn't admit he was wrong. He quickly pointed out that MSU had a lot more passing yards in 2010 than 2009, so we "didn't miss Dixon". He might have been right about that, but he was basically changing his prediction from more rushing yards to more total yards. And then there is always the hypothetical question of whether Dixon could have made the offense even better.
