pretty good list. i immediately thought of the florida game.

also, our fist win in the state of arkansas. we very well could have lost that game.

I'd add in Georgia 2010 to that if not as an honorable mention. Say what you like about UGA that year, but we hadn't beaten them since the 1970s. The score was much closer than the actual game was; they scored late and we totally dominated them with ralph.

Yeah I would also give honorable mention to any of his SEC wins against traditional powers: 2012 Auburn, 2010 Georgia, 2012 Tennessee. Even though those schools were struggling those years, I'll take pride in those wins whenever I can get them.

Hell, every time we win it's impressive to me, considering the losses I've seen over the years

Even though Michigan was down that year (considering their standards), it was his most impressive win because of the way we did it. We completely owned them in every way the entire game. It felt like we could legitimately put up 75 points if we had wanted to. I can't remember any MSU team totally dominating another decent team like that.

My thoughts exactly.

Definitely need to add UGA. You can talk about them being 'down', but a lot of our wins are going to come against SEC teams that look like we did last year. Four or even six losses with all of the losses coming to ranked teams. UGA that year had bad losses to Colorado and then UCF in the Liberty Bowl. But otherwise they lost to us, USCe, Florida, etc. When we're not a top 10 team, that's what our wins are going to look like, because anybody in the SEC that loses to us will generally also have losses to 3 or 4 of the other top 15 teams in the SEC.

Also, people talk about it like it's a negative, but Dan's most impressive accomplishment is not in his wins but in the lack of losses. People that don't appreciate his record against 'down' teams, UK, UM, and OOC are idiots.

And, that is why I would include the 2010 31-23 win over OM @ VH in the list of 'most impressive wins.' No matter the teams' records, winning @ OM is always tough & I have seen many games there where we had more talent and still left with an L.

#5 should not even be mentioned.

I thought it was a great win for Dan Mullen and MSU. How much differently would the fans' perception of the program have been this offseason if we had lost that game and ended the year with a losing record at 6-7? Beating a conference champion in a respected bowl game like the Liberty is nothing to sniff at. Rice had a decent team last year.
