That, prior to this year, we have been to the College World Series 8 times or that we've never won it all in those 8 times? To me, it's kinda both. We're an outlier in college baseball with that many CWS appearances, but at the same time, we've never won it, even with extraordinarily talented teams. Y'all's take?

ETA (I'm also partially starting this topic to make sure we win. reverses jinxes and such)

There are other teams with many more appearances that haven't won it. Florida State and Clemson come to mind.

Not REALLY all that suprising that we haven't won it when you do the math. 8 trips to Omaha would suggest if all teams were equal, odds are you would have won exactly 1. But all teams aren't equal. Most in Omaha usually have a better chance than others. I'd say we were a better than 1 in 8 chance to win in '85 and '90, and probably a less than 1 in 8 chance in those other years. '07 specifically was more like a 1 in 100 chance to win it. Heck, I think we were the 8-seed (after reseeding) in both '97 and '98. So no, it's not all that surprising. Florida State on the other hand.....
