I know he is national track star in the 400, but I doubt that exactly translates into a great 40 yard dash or other football speed.

Scout has his forty time at 4.48 (but that may be a high school time) which kinda disappointed me. With all the hype around his speed I was hoping for at least a 4.4 flat. I couldn't attend the spring game and have yet to see him play.

What say ye about this guys 40 time? Is his quickness as good as how fast he can run 4 football field lengths?

others will tell you 4.4

His knee isn't 100% believe it or not. Don't forget he is a sub 21 second 200 meter guy and a sub 10.5 guy in the 100 meters.

He's fast enough.,,.. AND he showed me he had good hands... and that's all you need to know.

it looked like height on Saturday. He's certainly fast enough, but several times you could tell we went strictly for jump balls with him and he won a few. I have to admit he surprised me on Saturday.

Someone that comes to mind is Xavier Carter a few years back at LSU. He was FASTER than Oneal but only 6'2. He was pure straight line speed but wasn't the all around athlete that Oneal is. He busted our *** on an end around the one year he saw a lot of time but never was a dominant player even though 99% of the time he was the fastest guy on the field.

him because there were so many guys for LSU that busted our ***. Whenever we play LSU, it looks like their lineman grow three inches and their skill guys run 4.0 forties.
