Husky fan here in peace. Here's some facts to dispell some misinformation. First of all the Huskies were behind by 21 points in the first half (in the game above) and came back to take a lead, albeit short lived.
They are deep.
Brockman...pencil in a double double. You can't help but love the way he plays. Dude has a motor that knows one speed. He's not a threat from the outside, and until this year, even early this year, he's been a terribel FT Shooter. That has changed. The last 20 games or so he's knocking down a ton of them, as are the Dawgs. They get to the line a lot and a great rebounding team. Big strong players can give him trouble because he's only 6'7'", but none of them will outwork him and rarely outrebound him. Averages 15 points and 11 boards
Quincy Pondexter. (Nicknamed Qpon)Long and athletic. Great offensive rebounber and excellent defender. He's been really hot of late.
Darnell Gant. Long athletic, no threat from the outside, or inside for that matter, but a decent shot blocker
Isiah Thomas, small, lighting fast and strong. Not a great shooter, but a terrific passer, penetrator and scorer. Freshman of the year in the Pac 10 Big guards can give him trouble on the defensive side of the ball. Leading scorer on the team at 15.4
Justin Dentmon First team all Pac10. Great 3 point shooter and scorer, best FT shooter on the team. Decent defenive player as well.
Venoy Overton Small, quick and often plays out of control. Nicknamed "Annoy" for his tenacious on ball defense. You will not like him, I guarantee it. But he is a big spark for them off the bench.
Matthew Bryan Amaning. Tall, long, athletic. Excellent low post scorer who can be very effective, but is prone to disappear as well.
Justin Holliday Good shooter, very athletic and terrific defender. Good rebounder.
Elston Turner. Good shooter, 3 point threat.
Washington will want a fast pace. If they run on you, they will score lots. They average 78.9 per game. Because they are such tenacious offensive rebounders, and their guards are very agressive at penetrating, they get to the line a great deal more than their opponents most games.
Hope that helps.
And for the record, Husky fans are none too pleased with this draw. We were hoping for a cupcake, Oh well.
Good luck
