What is the highest amount any of our football assistants are paid?

I ask this because UT hired Bama's LB coach and associate HC Sal Sunseri as their new DC for $800,000per year today. He's been around for a while, but still, that is a ton of money for an assistant. I thought someone on our staff made in the 275K range, but I wasn't sure.

One of the ways we can really improve as a footballteam is to get to the point where we can pay competitive money for assistants.Obviously I know we don't have 800K to pay anyone, but if we can get to the point where our coordinators are making in the mid 300K to 400K range, I think that is a good goal for this university to stay competitive in terms of assistants. Just throwing this out there for others opinions.

If you want to be remotely competitive in the SEC and have any semblance of continuity of the coaching staff, you'd better pay your OC and DC in the 400k plus range. Hell, wasn't Nix getting around 500k at TSUN? I'm not saying State's OC deserves a raise, but the DC does for darned sure. This is where State needs to put up or shut up. Dan Mullen gets a very competitive salary, probably among the top 25. The coordinators though get nothing close to SEC money. It's as if we hocked everything we own to reward Dan Mullen but went cheap everywhere else. I'm not sure Dan will get to where he wants his Bulldogs to be without sharing a little of the wealth.

Get Sugarland to play in our stadium, millions of people will come from all around the country and instantly become State fans and we'll make billions.

that's higher than several other SEC coaches but 2nd lowest on the West side. We are bowling in the one endzone so yea we are doing something with the stadium. When Kiffin was at UT they were paying Monte over a million. Weis made over a million last year at UF too. Time to give Wilson a raise. It's been time. Idk why they haven't given it to him yet.

SOMEBODY has to finish 4th, that's assuming OM, MSU and A&M finish 5-7 in no particular order.

Ain't nobody paying a coach 3mil+ a year for 4th place in the division.

Of the 19 coaches in the country that make more money than him, only 5 have not coached a BCS bowl as HC...

Last I checked, ALL 4 of those higher paid in the west played in bcs bowls the past TWO seasons.
That said, I think Stricklin should allow Dan to have an additional ~$500k-$1mil to distribute among our assistant coaches as he sees fit for raises. I thought it was bs last season when we doubled Dan's salary, yet gave his assistants very small incrimental raises. I want to be sure that Chris Wilson, Geoff Collins, and Matt Balis are WELL taken care of, to hopefully ensure that they stick with us for the long run.
