What is the mentality of our team at this point?

Really worried the confidence is gone and we will come out flat against ATM. I hope I'm wrong but Jesus, our secondary got torched against bammers.

Ready for redemption. Against a team that traveled a long way last week. And is probably enjoying their press clippings and pats on the butt from male cheer **** a little too much.

Hopefully the team realizes what's done is done and they better hunker down big time or their good season slips away in just a few short weeks. I think they will be as ready to play as possible, but if they get hammered again.......all bets are off as far as confidence is concerned.

Hopefully much different than the mentality of our fans

This is not directed at you and I was there to watch the butt raping in person in Tuscaloosa, but Jesus... We played the best team in the country on the road, we got our asses kicked, and now it's time dust ourselves off and move on. In spite of the crying and whining out there, these guys are still 7-1 with a legit chance for a great season. Burn last weekend's tape, hit the practice field, and let's kick A&M's *** this weekend. We will not play another team anywhere close to the level of Bama until we meet them again in 2013.

The team isn't as down as the fans are, and coaches get paid to get them back up.

Even if they are down, we are fortunate to return home this weekend

I can't imagine them being too down once they run out unto DWS hearing 50+K cowbells

That **** fires me up and I'm just a lawyer

Hope they read Schmuley's post and not yours.....

We really don't need to play to keep from getting beat. Play to keep from getting beat and we're about to go 0-4 in this stretch, and the Rebs will most definitely beat us with that attitude. Rest assured they'll be hungry. They need to play to win, like they have something to prove, like we did vs. Tennessee.

Contrast that with Texas A&M who's going on the road for the 2nd straight week and are feeling pretty good about themselves. Just can't see them bringing their A game.

I think they're probably pissed off that they played so poorly on a big national stage, so they're wanting to beat some ***. I think they realize that beating A&M and LSU in back to back weeks would erase anything about the Bama loss. Hopefully we see some emotion out there and the team tries to prove something.

Dawg1976 posts the most negative shite i see on te board next to Bogey. I woke up this morning pissing excellence and a smooch & a smack on my rump from my old lady. Confidence: some people have it & some don't. I think we are going to be ready & pissed off and smash the hell out of Johnny 17ing Football!

I agree Cadaver, I think there would be a much greater chance of a let down if we had played as well as we possibly could and lost to Bama in the 4th quarter in a tight game. Instead we played no where near what we are capable of and were embarrassed. Due to that, I think this team wants redemption.

Last year we had a similar occurrence when we played terribly and lost at Auburn in a much more emotional game than the Bama game this year, only to come back the next Thursday night against LSU and play them very very well. While we still lost that game, energy and physicality weren't the reasons why, LSU was just better. However, TAMU is not better than us, and if we come out and play with the energy and physicality we played with against LSU last year, after a more emotional loss, then we will win this game.

All in all, there is precedent for this team responding after a tough loss. I can't think of a game in Mullen's tenure where he has failed to get the team ready to play after a tough loss. Take that for whats it worth.

This is the week where Balis really earns his money!
