I agree with everyone else MA vs. WRH
I could see Murphy putting up a fight in the west if they go 1AA along with WM and EM, If Murphy is 1a again just go ahead and pencil them in vs. the eastern champ.

Murphy won't get passed Mitchell if they go 1A and I don't think they will get passed Mount Airy, East Montgomery, West, or East Wilkes in the 1AA west. One of those 4 is the favorite imo. Mount Airys conference schedule will hurt them coming down the stretch going into playoffs I feel.
east montgomery can be handled with a good defensive scheme. shut down McKinney and contain the QB. TWO players are the entire strength of their offense. They haven't been challenged by anyone except for WM and their second round playoff game in two years. Lots of chirping from their players and fans about how this is the year they take state etc...... you would think with all that cackling the buzzards would have done more in the last 12 years than a sub.400 winning percentage.......
I beg to differ BD. My mustangs played them to the wire last year and was one play from winning. Lost by 3. But you are correct, find a way to stop the QB and RB. Doesn't seem to be easy to do that though. East vs west this year should be a good one
I've seen Mitchell and Murphy play this season and based on what I saw in Andrews I'd favor Murphy over Mitchell by 2 scores.
As for the others I couldn't say, because unlike you I wouldn't speculate on teams I haven't actually seen play, but I'd venture to guess Murphy is capable of playing with anyone in the 1A or 1AA west.
Talking about before 2010 . You are right about 2010 and I was thinking the Bears were 1-AA then,may be wrong but I believe Monroe was 1-AA that year. I was thinking Bears were only 1-A for 2 years again correct me if I am wrong. My thinking is based only on Monroe going 2-A after beat Mount Airy in 2012.

Don't follow any teams in the west. But, having said that James Kenan gets Avent III back and makes a run to the third round, get bounced by Tarboro/Wallace-Rose Hill then Wallace wins the east and brings back their second three peat in 9 years
Is it Wallace-Rose Hill that goes 2-A next year or am I thinking about another school in the east ?
The NM vs EM game was a good one last year as was the 1st North Stanly vs EM game last year, not to mention that UP whipped East last year . Unfortunately East nor West will really know what they have until they play each other. ( NS and NM might give East a game) Without a doubt the conference is the weakest its ever been, so who knows what anyone has good or bad.
That about sums up WM as well. Contain Leake n Dozier and its a done deal. No one has been chirping over here, it would be stupid to do that based off the level of competition this conference has offered so far this year. If anything you and I should wish our conference was stronger so we could be better prepared for the playoffs. What happens in the last game of the year is a toss up but I still think EM is built to go further in the playoffs than WM. I don't see either team taking state.
Yeah.... Dozier and Leake are our only two weapons....... That's the difference between a flash in the pan team and a PROGRAM. Don't think you read the Herald much then if that's your thoughts on WM. Considering your ties to county government I'd figure you'd follow the county's only paper. But, anyway, enjoy this season. Been how long since em made the playoffs this many years in a row???? Y'all over on the east side must be licking your chops at the prospect of joining up with WM. What's the saying, "If you can't beat them, join them." That should be on the letter jacket of every em football player at least 40 out of the last 56 years worth!!!
Yes, WRH and JK both will be 2A and should have last realignment. I for one think the playoffs should determine classification. Play the teams that are within 1 classification of your school for during regular season for conference play and then seed the eligible teams by ADA. WRH and JK wouldn't have the banners they do if that were to have been the case.

What's wrong BD? You been missing me? I read the paper, looks like the Rhone boy from albemarle did well against no competition. Just admit it BD, your scared to death that EM will beat WM. I'm sure your contingent has been at every game EM has played this year. You want to know why? Well I think you know why. Don't worry, if we beat y'all I will take it easy on you. If y'all win....well let's just say I know what to expect from you.
