What position will we feel the loss worse? LB or Left Tackle?...

I just am unsure about left tackle. Getting really worried if Carmon can move into that position.

Although I'm worried about LT, I think our offense will still produce with a servicable LT. That's assuming Camon is servicable.

Strictly because we have somewhat mobile quarterback and pass protection, if it gets ugly, we know we can screen or get more run orientedand help out Blaine/Carmon. Wouldn't be surprised to see Addison shift over to left at some point and try out. I think Dan will make it work, like he said yesterday.

With LB, just hard to replace the whole line, add to that, losing our DC just makes me a little uneasy. ACC Maye is all we got right now.

I think Wilson, Hughes, Maye and Lawrence will be able to fill in with relative ease. I'mdefinitelynot implying any of them will make us forget about KJ or C. White, but I think they will be more than passable. Especially from the extra protection they will be getting from our D-line. The new guys will benefit from being surrounded by a really good secondary as well.<div>
<div>The ability drop off from them to what we had is not nearly as steep as the difference from Sherrod to Clausell/Carmon. I don't pretend to be Thlou Tholtz, but I think our option and spread scheme seems to pretty demanding on the tackles. Not to mention, Clausell and Carmon did not impress me at the spring game.</div> </div>

We will start guys at LB who have played in the SEC or the ACC and have been successful at times. Lawrence, Maye, Wilson, and Hughes have all at least been in games in either the SEC or the ACC in Maye's case. They will be young and will have to play more significant roles this year, but they have played their position for multiple years now, and I think will surprise people.I think Maye will step up immediately as the vocal leader and will rally that young group.

But at LT, we moved a senior DT to the spot to compete against a RS Freshman. No games played at LT between the two, and they are still fighting for the 1st team spot in a battle that Mullen said could go through the season. That to me is not ideal, and I think makes it worse than our situation at LB.

I can see the LB's being one of our strengths by theend of the year because that unit has a lot of gel potential. Young, talented kids with a good upperclassman leader to show them the ropes. Great potential I think.

As others have pointed out, we've got some good LBs stepping in. Some have experience and some are young but look impressive. But I'm real concerned about LT. We have 2 guys who have never taken a snap, 1 of which hasn't played the position since HS. Moving Carmen to LT just looks like a desperation move. I think Mullen's strategy is going to be to run to the right a lot and when we do pass roll out to the right a lot. He's going to try to minimize how much the LT has to do. I hope it works.

We can make it work at LB. However, Carmon and Clausell scare me. We also better hope that Addison Lawrence stays healthy all year at RT, because I don't think Eric Lawson or Anthony Munoz's son is ready to play yet either.

..may perform great on the field and I hope they do. But with our limitations at receiver, if we have to start keeping a back in to block it will really whittle our play book.

...people would be wondering if you meant Larry Templeton.

By the way, I'm thinking Left Tackle is the individual position with the most cause for concern. The linebacking corp as a whole is also something to be concerned about, but at least there's experience.

I fell much worse about LT. I may be wrong but I don't feel bad about LB. With Maye, I think they can be pretty good. I feel worse about DE than LB.

I agree with this.I think we will easily be better atSLB with Hughes replacing Gatling. No disrespect to Chris White intended because he is a really good football player, butI think the scheme made him look a little better than he was. I thinkMaye and Wilsonarecapable replacements in the middle. I'm a little worried about replacing KJ, but Cam and Skinnerhavesometalent andIget the feeling that Maye might get snaps here if Wilson continues to prove he belongs in the middle.

Ferguson is solid at one DE spot, behind him I'm not confident in anyone. I hope the light comes on for McCardell because he seems to have the talent to step up and really be a player, butwe just haven't seen it yet. Stigers...meh. After that...Harrison-Gay?Looks thin in a hurry. Thank goodness we have a solid DT duo to take some pressure off.

To answer the original questionI'm worried the most about LT because we have NO game experience at that spot. A close second is DE.
