How this has all played out is just fascinating to me.
State gets runner-up last year, coming so damn close to making history...thinking the sleeping giant has been woken up...huge expectations this year, but s#!tting the bed....the OM players in the paper talking about it could've or should've been them....
Now this. I almost literally believe in baseball Gods now and that the way we parted ways with Polk must have pissed them off good, or something. It's like they're saying, "See now? Do you see? Have I got your attention now, ya little bastards? We just don't like you as much as we once did. We have moved on."

I could have predicted this was coming as soon as this thread started.
Here is another prediction:
You'll keep telling us for years how bad Cohen is despite everyone else calling you an idiot. Over time, you'll pick up a few followers that have "come around". Eventually Cohen will be fired or retire (because all coaches do) and then you'll tell us how smart you are. Shortly after you'll start your own board where you and 7 other people will start 80 threads a day.

Sooo, the baseball gods liked us when Polk was here? But yet, we didn't come close to the NC game under him ..... even with a team of 3 career MLB players. Oooookay.
The fact Cohen doesn't have any hitters is all on him. He either hasn't recruited well enough, hasn't hired the right assistants, or hasn't coached them well enough himself. He's done a great job at MSU, but if he doesn't improve in this area significantly, his best days at MSU are behind him.
