Is that they don’t learn.

Paul drives consistently to the right side, is double teamed, and loses the ball;
They all throw passes to Cliff that he can’t handle;
cliff, facing a double team, either loses the ball or throws up a horrible shot
Caleb shoots 20 percent from three and keeps throwing the ball up
Ad infinitum et ad nauseum

So your solution is we need them to get smarter or recruit smarter players.

I am stuck running a 9 minute mile. It dawned on me the other day if I want to improve maybe I should run faster.
I like the analogy or metaphor or whatever that is.
I don't know how old you are, but when I try this, I usually pull a muscle, so be careful out there.

Exactly! I have been posting most of your comments, except for Caleb poor shooting.
Simpson is the only point guard on the court.

You can add a lack of ball movement and not setting up plays for open jumpers (especially Cam).

I don’t know if Paul has even considered developing a left-handed finish.

The only possible positive development was Paul hitting a few shots and having some good passes at the end of the game as garbage time approached. Maybe, just maybe, that will help him snap out of this. His whole game is officially in the category Caleb’s shooting was in early last year when we lost to Lafayette - the Yips. In this case - it’s not just shooting. Everything he’s been doing in game has been off. Awful defense. Poor decision making with passes. Stupid fouls. And of course, not even close shooting the ball pretty much from anywhere.

First of all - Caleb has to shoot to keep the defense honest especially when he is wide open. he needs to avoid BAD shot selection early in the shot clock after excessive dribbling. You can tell he is getting exhausted from defense and loses his legs on shots and that is something the staff should be explaining to him when he shoots.
Cliff should stop practicing 3s during warmpups and only be practicing post moves and how to dribble out of the post on a double team. When he gets the ball outside of 3ft in the post, I know a double is coming and most likely a turnover. Why? He doesn't use his body or footwork properly to create space to pass out of the double team. Again this is on coaching and should be something worked on all the time.

100%. That is why I run the same amount at the same pace for the past 2 years. I don’t get hurt but I don’t get better

Caleb's shot is the midrange jumper we know he is not a good 3 point shooter but he didn't even get those off yesterday

Honestly the team just looks super slow on the offensive end.

Defensively we’re a premier team.

Offensively everything is a step late. We pass too late and it’s not crisp. We decide where we’re going with the ball too late. The movement off hall is too late.

Huh? He was referring to things like suddenly not making free throws. Irrelevant comment to what happens next.

But yeah - definitely a ton of obstacles. To have any chance, we need someone to step up and have a huge game.

Nobody on our team is a ‘scorer’ except for Cam.

We’re very good defensively but very limited offensively, and the other teams in our league have figured out how to defend us effectively.

We just need better offensive players to be honest.
