I am not attempting to be argumentative, but can you elucidate the benefits of a subscription vs a free forum.

No problem at all! I didn't get the perception at all you're being argumentative. It's just a question!
No membership - access to any free content/articles on the website, and FGF.
Membership - access to all content including all premium articles. Access to GamecockCentral's The Insiders Forum (larger community, myself/Wes/our entire staff hang out on there answering questions and roll out other insider notes, etc.) and TheBigSpur's Inside the Gamecocks Forum. Basically, two brands in one. That's kind of a short answer to it.

Let me know if I can answer any other questions. And again, if you want to try us for 3 months for $1 so you can see instead me telling you, that's going on right now. I was on the pay site for a few years. I will say that the GC staff and Shoe do a fine job.

There's a LOT more activity on The Insiders Forum. That's the main reason I subscribe, to be honest. I read some articles, but most of my time is on the message board.

Hey, I get the frustration. There are certainly some interesting things happening around Gamecock sports and the baseball coaching search is about to get ramped up this summer too.
A good bit more, yes, in addition to our staff being on there all day/night.

We don't have any plans to get rid of FGF. It's been a part of GamecockCentral.com since the start. Means a lot to a lot of people!
