Out of the 8:
- Memphis
- Georgia
- Alcorn
- Houston
- Florida
- UAB
- Kentucky
- Ole Miss
You can eliminate Alcorn. All the others, you can at least make a case for:
Memphis - set the tone for the year. It was important to look strong out of the gate.
Georgia - a pivotal win against a good team that we haven't beaten in ages, which made us 2-2 instead of 1-3.
Houston - our first road win where it didn't look good early on. We responded and beat the **** out of them. It really started to feel like we were a good team at that point.
Florida - this is my pick as the biggest win. Even though they were reeling at the time, I thought that we just hung in there and Mullen seemed to "get it" at this point, when we did whatever it took to win even if it looked bizarre in the box score (no passes in the second half).
UAB - classic hangover game that we easily could have lost, but we responded and kept the streak at 5.
Kentucky - I started to eliminate this one also, but they were a decent team that we had to beat at the end of a long stretch without a bye week.
Ole Miss - already bowl eligible and coming off of 2 tough losses, we could have come out flat on the road against a pissed-off rival with nothing to lose, yet we beat them handily. Also huge in recruiting for the year.
I say Florida. Just a tough, gritty road win that really solidified my belief in Mullen and the team.
