What was the deal with the crowd

At the south side entrance on the west side? Did they storm the gates to get back in or was event staff cool with it?

Apparently they poured in. T45 Fixer said a mass of humanity came in and occupied the standing room area.

Was standing at the south ramp going down to field level and they bum rushed those rod iron gates to get in. Easy another 60k in the junction.
