Mine was listening to the 1993 Egg Bowl as a teenager. They game stands out to me for some reason- Jack was the only way that I was going to know what was going on during the game before the ESPN contract stuff.
The most excited I ever heard him was at the end of the 1999 Egg Bowl, and the 1980 Alabama football game.
My favorite Jack Cristil line was "The Sonic Drive of the Game- the drive back home to Tupelo."
Then there was "Arkansas goes into the their karate chop defense".
But perhaps the best ever was when someone called in to one of the coaches show and said "Jack, we want you to know that we really love you, and we want you around as long as possible, and we would like for you to quit smoking."
Jack responds with- "Well, my grandfather lived until he was 95."
The caller then asks- "Oh, did he smoke too?"
And then Jack goes- "No. He minded his own business."
