My personal favorite was 1992. That was one of the best games all-around that MSU has played ever.

2004 was way unexpected after losing to Maine, so it is a close second. 1992 is eliminated because I was eight.

I was too young for 1992. Between 2000 and 2004 I easily have to go with 2000 because that season was much more exciting and that game was simply awesome watching us thrash them. Spurrier and Saban are easily two of my favorite coaches to watch when they lose it

And would have won the SEC if Sleepy Robinson doesn't blow out his knee in that game.

Regardless, 1992 was the best UF team we've ever beaten.

Loved how random the win was and I made a shed for Memaw that same day, during the game I almost fell of the roof from excitement.

I have always thought that we under achieved in 91 and 92. We lost some games both years that we should not have......91 Memphis and Air Force. 92.....we lost to a bad LSU team and a USC team that finished with a losing record. But then, we man-handled Texas at Texas and played Alabama a hell of a game. Ole Miss......we ran the ball about 10 times inside their 10. That is a game we win with Sleepy. Anyway.....

we would have been 10-1 had Sleepy been able to stay healthy. That team was so good but we were lost on offense with Greg Plump and Todd Jordan at the helm after the Fla game.

I'm not saying Sleepy was as good, but for you younger guys, losing Sleepy that season was like if Auburn had lost Cam Newton in the 2nd game of the season this year. Still a good team, but not nearly as good as they could have been with him.

and QB Shane Matthews was being touted as a Heisman contender...and we just skull-17'ed them for 4 quarters

Well, I am old enough to remember 1992. It was a Thursday night game but very similar circumstances to 2000. The media focus leading up to the game was Matthews this, Matthews that. Little did UF know, State was jacked sky high for the game. The campus, players, everyone was confident we would win that game. Then we proceeded to do so. Fun, fun time.

2000 was fun too though. Frustrating Spurrier so much he calls for a safety......priceless. I don't care what he says/said was the reason for the safety. He called for it because his frustration got the best of him. Electric atmosphere that day.

I would say 1992 was my favorite because I partied my tail off at College Station after the game until early in the AM Friday. The night ended when I crashed a party there and was drinking out of some strangers cooler. That did not go over well.......I got kicked out and crashed at a buddies apartment. Then got up at 7am, still drunk, and went to work. Hell of a Thursday night.....longest Friday of my life.

Only because I was at that game... Sleepy was a fantastic option QB. Always knew just when to make that pitch.
Was also at the Egg Bowl where we had 10 chances inside the 10. Light snow and miserable that day. Sleepy would have punched that one in, but instead we have to rely on Jordan.. pocket passer. Gregg couldn't run the ball like Sleepy and Todd made some of the same mistakes we're seeing Russell make now.

Was there in 1992, but couldn't really appreciate it because I was younger. In the 2000 game you had: Smoooot, our defense, UF's 3 QB system (Grossman, Berlin, & Palmer), 3rd & 57, Steveo's visor on the ground, the safety, the crowd, and of course our offense going off that day. 2004 I officially gave up the rest of the season after Maine, only season I refused to go back to home games.

In those days, Sherrill held a chalk talk once/week for students in The Union building. Its was pretty cool having him there showing us film and us being able to ask him questions.

Florida week that year, Coach didn't show up for Chalk Talk. But he sent one of his assistants to talk to us. The assistant said Coach was busy game planning for Florida. And this guy went on to go over the matchups. He said the big thing in our favor was that we were going to hit them hard all over the field. He said our secondary would be wreckless and it would give Florida's WRs second thoughts about running their routes and catching the football.

I sat there and thought that's what people who are about to have their *** kicked tell themselves.

But damn if he wasn't right. We pounded the gators for 4 quarters and got the win.

Since God took from us all the enjoyment that would have been the Rebel Landshark, the least he can do is give us a win in Gainesville.

to start drowning his sorrow's but 1992 was the best. I was with a girl who graduated from The Ohio st univ and had never been to MS or a SEC game. The Thursday tailgate before the game was awesome and the game even better,--- but the post game party was about the best possible ever!

And a nike player wristband, my ticket, beat florida sticker, and a picture of the post I was on in a display. Best time ever. 2004 freshman year, I got to sit in the presidents box but missed getting to rush the field so that sucked. But the presidents box is awesome, I highly recommend it

that Florida won the SEC East that year, and took National Champion Alabama to the brink that year in the SEC Championship Game in Birmingham.

memorabilia I've lost thru the years.

I had a great poster of Mardye McDole making a one handed catch to beat the Gators back in the late 70's or early 80's.

I know it wasn't in '80, because I was there, and we were 50 yds from going to the Sugar Bowl but time ran out on us.

Wasn't that the game where one of our linebackers intercepted a pass and was running down the sideline, and shane mathews stepped up to force him out of bounds, and when the linebacker saw him, turned it into him and blew him the 17up?
