Good stuff.
- Cohen needs to stop this resting Slauter mess, at least on the weekends. There's no way Ammo should be playing on the weekends. Let him play on Tuesdays, but that's it. Slauter is just too valuable defensively to not be out there. Hell, he caught nearly every freaken game last year. Hann and Britton shouldn't be out there, either.
- I'm glad Graveman had the balls to send a message. It's part of the game that most have gotten too sensitive about. I was beginning to think were were going to bring out a tee for that guy.
- It's good to see Pirtle trying to break out of the Fantastic 4 club. He's got some pop from both sides, and he's far and away the best defensive option at second.
- Norris is really making all of this difficult. He had a solid freshman season and really looked like he was going to have a great season until his injury last year. He doesn't look very mobile out in the field, and he hasn't been impressive at the plate. While has average isn't terrible, he strikes out too much, and he hasn't been coming through in RBI ops. If he could just get it together, we could put an end to this "Frittann" mess.
- Henderson is frustrating, too. He makes good plays in the outfield, but he hit into 19 double plays (unofficial estimate) this weekend. Cohen gave him a good lesson on contacting a baseball softly without swinging in order to advance a runner before his first AB yesterday. In fact, it looked more like an ultimatum.
- Frazier, Bradford, Renfroe, Detz, Rea, and Slauter should be in the lineup in every conference game. It doesn't matter who's pitching.
