Great job, Wes! I'm already excited about next year. Thanks for helping this team be the first to set the bar at the highest possible level. But this year's team will be revered no matter what happens in the future. Thanks for the ride! HailState

To explain - back when there was the hoopla about Powe being able to read - the CL did a piece about him and his troubles. They showed something he wrote. It looked like a 6th grade girl wrote it. It had bubbly letters in cursive. I wish I would have saved that picture.

Sadly, a sixth grade girl's handwriting would be far better than mine these days

I'm trying to read notes I took on a call yesterday, and all I can say is #indecipherable

Yeah, he's a good hearted giant apparently. I'm proud to have him on our team ... doesn't seem to have the inflated ego that lots of athletes have.

And, I've heard he has soft hands which makes him field the ball well. Can't remember where I heard that though ....

Props to Wes Rea

He signed everything and took all the pictures from anybody that wanted it when they unloaded the buses today at DNF.

I thought for a moment there you wrote methhead. I'm thinking if that's the case, he must have started at 350lbs.

Hard to believe a guy from such a poor state could afford a fancy device that lets him get on the internets.

/did they show the "I had to sell my doublewide to pay for this trip" sign on tv last night? Showed it on the jumbotron a couple times at the game.
//it said something similar to what I wrote. Can't remember exactly.

Graduated from high school with a 3.9 GPA. Solid as it gets.

(Don't ask about the academics of said school though.)

He has soft hands, huh? Well did you know he he's light on his feet for a guy his size? In fact he could have played tackle for some elite football programs.

Wes is a class act. Met him a few times in Omaha. As I've said for a long time- best defensive 1B in the nation, and his bat came around this year as well. Proud of all of his hard work- it should be obvious to everyone.

That guy is as nice as they come. Signed everything that came his way in Omaha. Even in defeat, the guy was just plain nice. I'm glad he's ours, as I am of others like Holder, CT, Ross Mitchell, Hendu, etc.

We have a bunch of GREAT kids. Hope everyone that can goes out tonight to give them one last thank you. I'll be watching, can't go unfortunately.

Can you imagine how good he'd be defensively if he was left-handed like most first basemen are? I also liked the way he chatted with the baserunners when they were on first. Whatever he was saying must have been friendly and funny, because they were always laughing.

That's because we seldom actually write anything anymore

Everything is typed on a computer.

I remember in school at MSU and grad school we had to write out everything, then type it on a manual typewriter (including lab reports and even my thesis) and I'd go crazy if I had to do that now.
