I would hope so but something tells me Oweh, Garrison and Noah start. If that happens then I dont think Pope has learned anything.

- More minutes for Moreno, less for Garrison
- Aggressive, tight perimeter defense. Not junk defense, just pressure man to man.
- Make some shots
- Shorten the rotation to 9 guys
- Disciplined offense, staying within the zoom action scheme and not “getting mine”
- A short leash for transition defense. Yank anyone immediately who stays behind to whine about foul calls instead of getting back.
- A confident Pope, confidence begins with him.
- A whole lot of Kam Williams.
- Otega aggressively driving the basketball.

Given how many players are in our rotation, I would like to see us bring out the full court press during the game. Doesn't have to be all 40 minutes but it may help us get some turnovers, some easy buckets and be able to take some wide open 3's.

Yeah he hasn't improved at all in rebounding. Multiple times on Tuesday he had the ball right in front of him but he just watched it bounce to a MSU player. And then he was pretty much manhandled on all other rebounding opportunities. He should sit and Moreno take over until JQ gets healthy.

Well the way to gauge this is if we literally swamp the cupcakes with D vs. just play "good defense". Good defense against these teams is nowhere near what we need against real competition, as has been evident against GU, UL and MSU.

I'm tired of these full court "presses" that are nothing more than token. Pope knows better than anyone what Pitino's full court presses were like in the 90s, yet he implements Cal's tired, lazy "press" where as soon as the ball is in, they back off. Pitino's UK teams were insane on every inbounds pass, and never let up on the dribbler all the way up the court.
