I would hope so but something tells me Oweh, Garrison and Noah start. If that happens then I dont think Pope has learned anything.
The way Pope talked him up yesterday it's not even a question he will start.

I would almost bank on Garrison continuing to start. Seems Pope is a lot like Cal that when he has his lineup or guys he never changes.
I’d like to see a matchup zone. We cannot play man to man with this group. We have to find some kind of junk zone that allows us to compete on that end. I don’t think Pope or this staff even knows how to teach proper defense. We haven’t seen a team under Pope that was great defensively even at other schools.

Given how many players are in our rotation, I would like to see us bring out the full court press during the game. Doesn't have to be all 40 minutes but it may help us get some turnovers, some easy buckets and be able to take some wide open 3's.
Did I imply that ? My point was we are supposed to crush these guys so an easy win isn't going to reduce the concern everyone has until we knock off a legit top 25 team.
Yeah he hasn't improved at all in rebounding. Multiple times on Tuesday he had the ball right in front of him but he just watched it bounce to a MSU player. And then he was pretty much manhandled on all other rebounding opportunities. He should sit and Moreno take over until JQ gets healthy.

Well the way to gauge this is if we literally swamp the cupcakes with D vs. just play "good defense". Good defense against these teams is nowhere near what we need against real competition, as has been evident against GU, UL and MSU.
