What would it take for you to want Stansbury back?

But to answer your question, I think running Stansbury off ends up putting a big hurt on our program. Yeah, sure you'd trade the Sweet 16's with the majority of SEC teams that have been in the time frame. But what would you trade for the that? Would you trade the overall competitiveness of our program vs. the mediocrity of the Auburns, Georgie's, LSU's, Bears, Gamecocks, Vols, etc. I personally wouldn't even trade with Vandy. I'd trade with Kentucky but we're never going to be Kentucky, which has been obliterating the SEC since the 1960's. I like Florida's program a lot, too. But it's great to step on the floor with a chance to win the game no matter who we're playing. Not everybody has had that like we have. Very few, actually.

MSU fans are no different than other schools...they all pretty much get tired of any coach after about 10 years. Stans has reached well past that point. I am just not ready to roll the dice and run him off. If he would retire, that would be find, but as some other poster pointed out...25 is apparantly the magic number in the state retirement system and Stans has only 22. I was at MSU during the Babe years and Stans is the only coach since then to win fairly consistently. Unfortunately, we have too many former high school players and coaches on this board who think they could be a D-1 coach.</p>

i have always cared how the team is handled. i don't want to recruit thugs to "win at all costs". i don't want a coach that drives players away.

Goat called you out for stooping to try and compare high school and Junior High to college. What a damn joke. You can't go one day without bashing Stansbury or starting some ridiculous thread to try and discredit him. By the way, your great coaches Williams and Brady bombed out of their conference tourney and finished 14-20 for the year. Now that is the same guy you keep saying is a great coach and Brady has had 4 years. Just another of your so-called expert analysis of coaches. I also guess it really annoys you that someone would get off a bash Stansbury thread to change the topic.
