I'm guessing it's a car that is mass produced in a production line rather than custom made but maybe someone can enlighten me. The Tesla P100 D goes from 0 to 60 faster than any "production car." In the link below it beat the Porsche 911 Turbo S. I'm no gearhead but I know Porsche's are supposed to be fast.
I think the idea is that electric cars are inherent faster starting from 0 so no matter how souped up they make a gasoline car it can't match an electric car starting from 0. Of course the souped up gasoline cars still have higher top speeds.
