What's the deal with Kobie Walker?

Injury that required surgery and was slow to heal, maybe even a reinjury. Really don't recall what, maybe foot/ankle? Hope he can recover and contribute.
Stoops talked like he'd be back early in the season but it never happened. Just wondered if his injury didn't heal properly or what. We need him next year.
I think it got to a point when UK was 5, 6, 7 games in that he still wasn't quite healthy, and at the time the LB corp seemed pretty decent so it was decided to shut him down to focus on health. With UK losing forrest and flannigan, kobie walker along with love, brown, laster, firios, and allen will need to step up big time.
