Why would even Boyd Epley do this?

Maybe the lift isn't being used anymore. Maybe Boyd thought proper form wasn't being followed? I don't know and don't care. Riley will explain to recruits and do damage control since everything was just going too smooth lately 1620 had to give someone a voice for this instead of asking Boyd for a statement first.

Sounds like Kenny has his panties in a bunch (as usual) and making a big deal out of nothing. If he was that upset I am sure he could have the stones to stop coming here to train over the Summer and "learning more in a couple week from Williams than he did in 4 years". But I am sure he will show up and find the nearest microphone.

It's Kenny Bell looking for attention. That's basically it. Can we give it to him please so he can feel better about himself?
Seems to me, the one hung up on Kenny Bell, is you!

Would Ameer Abdullah or Sam Foltz, who are also complaining of the removal of records be OK with you? Or how about hearing from the guy who's name is on the facility? Would be interested to hear what Suh has to say about whats going on.

If true, it's a bummer for the players who truly worked their *** off to do what they could for the program. However, I hope this doesn't blow out of proportion. This is the last thing we need to see across headlines the next few days. I really hope this is quick and painless news. But I know with our fanbase, it probably won't be.

Kenny is all about drawing attention to Kenny...his hair proves that much...and it's old and stale. Kenny, move on. I'm sure he's still a little butthurt about Pelini...I wish that poison would just go away too.

We are pathetic fans at times.. His hair really? Interesting. Unless you played at Nebraska we all should stfu about it.

They took pride in something they accomplished at Nebraska... We should like that.

Whether or not I played at Nebraska is irrelevant. Kenny needs to move on. Kenny is the one that needs to STFU. He had his chance, he made his mark, he played well at times, he's forever a husker, but keep that poison out the program.

If you don't go low enough on squats should your "record" count?

Bo said he didn't look for weight lifters but football players when he first got here and it correlated to strength training. Boyd is making a point.

Fixed it so you didn't have to type your drivel again.

Motivators motivate in different ways. This is probably a motivational tactic - it surely wouldn't surprise me. Frankly, former players contributions to the program are cemented in the memories of the fan base. If not being on a wall somewhere in a complex gives you pain, you might want a thicker skin. I'll remember Kenny as an all-in Nebraska receiver who gave a lot to the program, and the highlight was his climb the ladder catch.

much ado about nothing.

I can understand some of the records but are all of the records being stricken from the record books since Epply himself been at Nebraska ?

If so there is where I have a problem with this.

If the records weren't set using Boyd's system they were taken down. Heard him and the football strength coach aren't getting along.

Interesting.... I quess Riley going to have to explain the situation with out ruffling some feathers of the past performances in the weight room.

This is a huge non issue and many(including the toolbags on 1620) are completely overreacting. The records are not being taken down. They are not eliminating what happened the last 10 years. Boyd is going to recalculate the numbers using his performance index formula and then putting them all back up so that all numbers are comparable from all eras. That way it is all comparable. There may be some tradition coalition guys heads explode when they find out it is Boyd doing this.

Glad we made that seem like it's a thing that matters. That being said, I'll set the over/under on this thread at 3.5 pages.

At best communication from the current regime is poor, but I'm not surprised. Same people defending the program and the same people attacking. If NU doesn't start winning it doesn't really matter.

Where are you getting this information. That is not what the athletic department memo above says.

Like I said. He got exactly what he wanted. He got attention while getting others fired up while not knowing the whole story.
So what is the whole story? You seem to be saying there is a story that neither I nor Kenny nor Ameer nor Foltz know anything about. How do you know the whole story when record holders and even current players don't know about it.?

It was the records for the last ten years that were dismissed. It wasn't that all records from the past were declared null and void.
