My name is Evan Roberson and I am a 13 year veteran of the USMC. I was stationed in the Southeast Asia and admittedly, Was a huge Oregon State football fan! When Mike Riley was hired I was absolutely devastated. He is the model of what is right with football and is widely respected as one of the best coaches in college football. Oregon State football is absolutely huge in Southeast Asia and it came as a shock to us all that he would leave. He is an ace recruiter and an even better person and coach. While I was sad to see him go I am finding myself more and more identifying as a Husker fan which is why I have decided to join this board. I am now a high school football coach in the LA area and I can tell you that Riley and Co are in on some big big fish out here!! You guys got yourself a good one!

Thanks and welcome to the Husker Nation. We are a spirited group and football is Religion in Nebraska so we take it very seriously. I think most of Husker Nation will agree that Coach Riley is just the Tonic that the Husker Nation needs after our previous coaching regime. His moral fiber and work ethic seem like a great fit for the values of the typical Nebraskan and the way he has handled himself representing Nebraska has made us all very proud. Mike is a 1st Rate Class Act and it is hard to find anyone who knows him or has played for him that has anything negative to say about him. He seems to follow the Golden Rule and treats everyone with genuine heartfelt respect. So far his coaching staff has reflected his values and it is great to have a head coach who surrounds himself with like-minded coaches and acts like a true veteran CEO running our football program. I can't wait to see how much we improve in our 2nd year of this football journey. GBR

After Riley was hired, I began going around to all the Husker boards that I could find and it was suggested to me that this was the perfect place for what I was looking for. Glad to be a part of the Corn Husker community!
