I'm actually buying a new chainsaw this weekend, never owned one but I currently own a few Stihl products which is what I'm going buy again. Which one did you go with?

Owned several Stilhs over the years. Can't go wrong. Easy to work on. Only bad one I ever got was an 18-inch that came free with the purchase of a new Case tractor back in the 90s. I've got one with a 20 inch bar now that I use from time to time. Have to take the plug out of it to cycle out the old mix to get it to start if it sits for too long.

I've also got a 27 inch echo and that thing is a beast. Bought it a couple of years ago to replace a 27 inch Husqvarna, also a beast, a bigger beast actually, which I've kept, but that damn thing is so f'king had to start, a man might need shoulder surgery if he isn't careful. But when it's running it is pure torture. tried to sell it but aint nobody looked at it been able to get it to crank. throws sawdust off ash like pressure washer.

Honestly? Very nerdy.

My BOBE stock appreciated 8.7% average over 23 years. I'm currently reinvesting in RPM, PG and GIS. 2 of the 3 looking awesome over the past few days.

Also: 2 Geforce GTX1050 video cards. Crypto-mining. Earned the $ via Amazon gift cards while job-spotting.

Life is good.

Auto. Majority of Vetts are Auto now plus are faster than Manual. Was torn because I like shifting gears and think high powered sports cars should have them but decided to get Auto. So far, haven’t regretted it. Can switch gears with the switches on the steering wheel but never use them.
Yeah, they’re a dying breed regrettably. Flat out love driving them of any stripe. My somewhat ambitious goal is to acquire a few more interesting manuals and see how the values keep rising. Next step tho for fun purchase is lift for my garage so I can store another one....for some weird reason my hen doesn’t see the value, but she wrong.

Love the GM 6.2, have one in my Silverado daily driver, as good an American engine as there’s ever been. Z06 is a great whip, congrats. That mid engine C8 tho.....Lordy

Well worth it. Makes getting blades and mower wheels off much easier.

An impact drill with a socket adapter is the best thing to ever happen to lawnmower maintenance. I put my wrenches away about five years ago and haven't touched them since.

If you buy just one battery operated tool, an impact is that tool. They are so versatile, and handy for just about every job.
I’ve got one at work that goes everywhere with me.

I've got a regular cordless drill too, for things that need a lighter touch, but I definitely use the impact for pretty much everything else. I keep it in my truck, so I basically have it with me at all times.

Yeah, will be interested to see exactly what the C8 entails and its price. Appears they want to make the Vette more of a European look which may appeal more to younger folks like the C7 has, but will always be hard to get younger folks to be able to afford them. I HATED the initial C7 rear because I always thought the classic Vette tail lights should have been on it but the new rear has grown on me. Initial impression of the C8 is conflicted but I am sure once the official details are released and I see the car in person it will grow on me as well.

Something about getting one of the last front engine Corvette attracted me to buying one now. May get the C8 down the road but likely they will not come out with the Z06 and Grand Sport version for a couple more years like they did with the C7 versions. Nothing like pure American muscle under your engine. Blessed enough to be able to get one at my age. Something I always wanted. Only live once and there are no promises of tomorrow.
