When did black become one of our school colors?

our asses beat wearing it. Stupid *** kids of today can't leave well enough alone when it comes to tradition.

That last comment ought to draw some blasts.

The quicker the better. Just die.

The color of a uniform has nothing to do with winning and losing. It's a shame that has to be said.

We need to wear Maroon and White. Those are our colors. Changing our colors in the same way many others are changing theirs is not particularly impressive. In fact, it is the opposite of impressive. It sucks.

I'm pretty sure everyone has claim to that. I happen to like the black, and look for much more gray in the coming year as well. Shake yourself and find something worthy of moaning about. We have finally taken steps to get out of the 19th century, and our biggest problem is our own people getting in the way. If it means that much to you, write a significant check with stipulations and your opinion might be considered...though I hope not.

Chalk that up to the disappointment that was the majority of Polk II. My question was simple. We seem to be working black into our uniform more frequently and don't remember our colors changing to maroon, black and white.

And you are correct: 4 AM rolls around mighty early.

You are entitiled to your opinion, but you obviously do not believe that others are entitled to theirs. If I liked it, I would say so, but I don't.

How this connects me to the 19th century is mystifying. Only schools that reject their traditional colors in favor of black can be considered contemporary? Fans that don't buy in are geezers? If that is the case, then I see why so many are taking this trite and vacuous step. They're just keeping up.

For the record, I am all for upgrading our look on a regular basis; I just happen to think that the upgrade has more power when it is relevant to our particular University.

and the only thing more tired than the "Black is not our school color" take is arguing with you about it. Bottom line is we only have one color, andMaroon in itself is too limiting. What other BCS school only uses one color? If not black, then what do you suggest. It's not like we broke out green or orange, its BLACK...and oh by the way, we've been wearing it for years and the kids love it. Mississippi State is a business and black sells...to our athletes and fans.

I'd like maroon to be dominant with occassional use of black, silver or gray streaks, highlights, and/or lines.

You said that old fans' ideas keep us stuck in "the nineteenth century. You did berate and insult me because I don't agree with you. That is what it sounded like to me. I don't look at is as personal. I am talking about the colors, not the fans who have opinions about them.

If she was wearing a pearl necklace, then it was one she bought.

Don't try to help that idiot. Viagara doesn't work for him. Wishful thinking on his part.
