the hotties and toddys? I missed that somewhere along the way. Would it be appropriate to go over to nafoom and give them hell about how he didn't even get a noncommitable offer from us? I learned "commitable offer" from them, so I assume there is a such thing as a noncommitable offer.

I think we should all agree that any in-state player that signs with OM, didn't have a committable offer from MSU, and any player that signs with MSU didn't have a commitable offer from OM.

If we can agree to this now, we may save 125,203 posts about recruiting this year.</p>

and tries to commit to Ole Miss, but Ole Miss doesn't accept it so he signs with MSU then you can say the same thing. Because that's what happened with Cheif Brown according to the recruiting analysts on 3 different web sites.

Thats my whole point.

Last year OM Rivals and OM scout both reported that Damien Robinson didn't have a firm offer from Ole Miss. I say BS.

If you think this will be the last player this year that will commit to one school and the other school will claim they "backed off" you are crazy. By the way, the fact that MSU has three recruiting web sites doesn't make it any more credible when they all say the same thing.

in the case of damien it was actually true. we "thought" we were going to get another kid and only had one oline slot. austin totally screwed the pooch in trying to keep things on an even keel and told the robinson's (correctly at the time) we didn't have a solid slot. understandable pissed them off (note his offer list) and when we tried to get back in he said screw you...in a very nice way of course. if in fact msu didn't have a solid offer for chief then come feb they IMO will regret it given the way recruiting seems to be going at this point.

ETA whle austin may have been a good ocoor...he had the peopleskills of a goat. hated recruiting and sucked at it. cost us more than one by just not doing the joband screwing up others. good ole miss guy but i'm glad he moved on.

Did Mullen change his strategy? I thought his strategy was to go after every kid in Mississippi with any chance to play D-1 ball. He stole about 8-10 kids in MS from USM last year and this year he's all of a sudden super selective? Not saying you are wrong but its a big strategy change.

Is he going out of state a lot more this year? Because he's going to miss out on a lot of the top players in Mississippi this year, and he has to sign someone.

Chief Brown isn't a signee of anyone right now. Nor was he committed to MSU. <div>

This stuff isn't rocket science, dude. Do you really think Mullen offers every kid in Mississippi? Do you think Orgeron really offered every kid in the country (or whatever the rumors are)? Really? I'm starting to think you do, I think you drink more red and blue koolaid than vinnyvegas and mississippikite.

I think you REALLY did want Robert Elliot to get hurt.

You REALLY need to obtain a life outside of Ole Miss sports.

If, all recruiting efforts equal, and Nutt and Mullen were both standing outside the door begging, what school do you think these recruits would have picked? Ole Miss fans claim they didn't have a spot for these guys, or they had someone better lined up. I'm just curious.

I assure you Chief Brown had a very commitable offer. He was the 8th guy Mullen personally offered for this upcoming class. I'll also tell you that come the first wednesday in February MSU is going to wish they had about 10 Chief Browns to sign.

If he is as slow and small as Mullen thinks he is from seeing him run in person, he won't be helpful to us. If there is one thing that I trust Mullen in evaluating, it is offensive, skill player talent. He has only been doing it for his entire career.

that he sandbagged his 40 times at the MSU camp so we wouldn't pressure him by trying to recruit him.

I hope BDJ doesn't mind me using a piece of their article form March 3rd, long before the Ole Miss Commitment.

<p itxtvisited="1"></p>
<p itxtvisited="1">Earlier in his recruiting process, Brown noted he wanted to commit early and give his verbal pledge to Mississippi State. But during his junior day trip to MSU, Brown noted he had to leave early and didn't have the chance to speak with head coach Dan Mullen.</p><p itxtvisited="1">"That kinda made me hold off a little bit," said Brown. "I still like them a lot and they are still my favorite school. They offered me first and showed me the first interest and that was big to me. But I am still waiting to see how things work out and I haven't spoken with anyone from Mississippi State in awhile. I like them and have from the beginning but I just haven't heard from them lately."</p>
Does that sound like something that would be done to a kid you wanted to take a commitment from?

time. The fact that he never committed us says a lot. We have Devonte Scott committed. Seems to me Mullen thinks he is the better player of the two.

You'll want 10 Chief Brown because come february you will have to settle for close to 10 players who only have offers from CUSA schools. As far as Chief's 40 time at state goes he ran a 4.56 and a 4.57 back to back, in your barn you call an IPF. And no he's not a runningback he's a safety without a doubt. Mullen thought he had Chief in the bag and slowplayed him sure, but in the end it bit him in the *** when he recieved a better offer.

No Alco i'm a "real" poster. I've never posted over here but I have always enjoyed coming over here and seeing how delusional you humpers are. The fact that ya'll think Mullen is the second coming tickles me.
