When did Comcast make ESPN Classic a pay channel?

Yes, unfortunately it is. They moved it to the Sports tier effective August 7th.

It was in the CL classifieds in late July/early August. They added ABC Fam HD and Disney HD, moved National Geographic to digital, and ESPN Classic to the sports.

.....far behind satellite it's sad. I also wanna know if Comcast will by some miracle add ESPNU by the time the ESPN TV package kicks in.

It is difficult to make a general statement because people have different operating systems, different connections and different browsers.

Posting issues:

1) Toolbar is not loading (IE or safari)

solution: Safari: switch to bbcode
IE: navigation might be stuck. Check the arror on the navigation button, if it is pointing up, do a hard refresh (Press Ctrl + F5 at the same time)

2) cursor does not appear in the post editor.

solution: switch to bbcode

3) Getting logged out when trying to post.

solution: check time on computer, is it set correctly?
clear cache, delete cookies.

4) page takes too long to load when posting.

solution: if you're always logged on to the internet, disconnect and then connect again.
Try other boards to see if it only happens on one board in particular.
try bbcode and / or quick reply

5) 401 error: usually occurs when trying to post in a forum with restrictions and you don't have posting privileges there.

solution: contact board owner to discuss your forum access.

I generally do suggest to download a different browser. Not for yuku, but for your own sake. A browser can break down or cause trouble just like everything else can (oh gosh trust me I know). Using the internet and having only one single browser is risky imo.

I was disappointed that DirecTV didn't have ESPNU in HD last night for the Vanderbilt game. Comcast doesn't even have ESPNU on where I live, not on *any* tier, but when we jettisoned cable for DirecTV at my house that was no longer a problem.

and I really didn't care for any channel including the NFL network because the only NFL I HAVE to watch is the Saints. The rest is just gravy. The other channels last year were the FSN stations which I could give 2 ***** about.

Now with ESPN Classic in the tier, I will have to reconsider.

Why haven't you already been subscribing to it? Seriously, for tennis fans, it's worth it for that reason alone.

Well...I just gave in and ordered the Sports Package. I made sure they knew how pissed I was that I had a channel 3 weeks ago and now I am paying for it. Only $5.00 though, and I got NFL Network out of it.

BTW, the lady on the phone told me I was her 45th caller in the last 3 hours to add the package. Guess all those cajuns are wanting to watch the Bengals...

where the little old lady went berserk with a hatchet or something? She had ongoing problems with her service and finally went to the office to complain. She was told the manager was busy, and she would have to wait OUTSIDE until he could see her. After two hours (she refused to leave) the receptionist came outside and told her the manager was gone for the day and she would have to come back.

The hatchet episode followed. She took out about two computers and some other stuff in the office. She was fined and had to pay for damages, but stated "It was worth it."

I've been on hold for nearly 20 minutes as of 9 AM. All for a game I'm not going to see the end of.

Wait....I wonder if this would fall under price gouging under the governor's executive order. Comcast is surely profiteering from this.

....essentially a $5 pay-per-view game, because I sure am calling up and cancelling it tomorrow.

I have the sports tier for the soccer channels, but i hate those jackasses. I swear, I think it's company policy to overcharge people until they actually call up and inquire about it. My bill was $30 too high until I called and asked why and their response was "it shouldn't be that high. We don't know why it was." A similar thing happened to a friend of mine.

I imagine that Comcast will bow to the pressure soon and put on ESPN U -- I could only imagine the angry calls that they got here in Nashville with the Vandy/Miami of Ohio game a week and a half ago being unavailable to cable subscribers.
