Tony Conner won't be a first round pick. He'll end up being a great college player but a 1st round pick he isn't.

I'm sorry, top WR in his class.

McKinney has decent stats, but his draft stock is more on his size and potential than his production. He is a prototypical NFL LB.

Both of Freeze's classes looked better on paper (which was his argument) than Mullen. Both of them had more of the three groups I listed.

I never said you have to take chances on 2 stars because you can't get 5 stars. You're projecting what others have said, not what I have said. As for your "handful" of 5 stars, I went by Scout and they have it at 1.

As for your edits, I've never said those things nor do I believe them. Again, making up your own arguments. On facilities, that is an absurd comment. If we are arguably 13th, that puts you squarely in the same discussion.

I don't care if he was the top WR in his class. What does that have to do with the NFL? You sound like a crazy person saying all the #1's are going to be 1st round picks. I'm sure Quay was listed as the #1 DT prospect for the 2015 draft on NFL.com in 2012. WHO CARES? If Treadwell puts up those same numbers for the next 2 years he won't be a first round pick. I don't care if he somehow becomes an Olympic track athlete between now and then.

And McKinney will be drafted early in the 1st round largely because of his size and speed, sure, but he's arguably the highest producing linebackers in the league known for linebackers. Again, Treadwell's stats outside of catches don't pop out at you. Co-Eric Riley should have been picked based on your assessment of how the NFL Draft works.

Freeze's first class didn't look better than MSU's, and the last 1/3rd was primarily Freeze going down our commitment list and begging them to flip. So your bud's argument that y'all recruit at a "higher class" than us is re-tarded.

And don't kid yourself. You're on that Kool-Aid if you can't see a world of difference in OUR facilities and YOUR facilities. Grass and trees that Wright Thompson jacks off to don't count as faculties, so don't try going there either.

As far as Scout's 1, we've been side piece of the last two #1 corners. Just corners. Not sure how even just those two equate to one.

Why would Quay have been rated the top DT after his freshman year? Did he win SEC Freshman POY honors and I miss it? It's precious that you think Treadwell will have a similar or worse season outside as he did at slot.

Based on last season, McKinney is well down the list in production. We had a safety and backup LB with more production last season. He's highly regarded because of his talent level and prediction combined. I don't know why you're so confused over this.

Let me get this straight: the class that was rated as a Top 10 class by all publications wasn't much different than your 2013 class? That's the argument you're going with? And you call other people delusional.

Who is talking about the Grove? I'm talking about the stadium, the FedEx center, the IPF (along with it's newest additions), and all other things related to the football program. What "world of difference" is there in your and our facilities? Please, elaborate. I can't wait to see it.

Jesus, did you really just boast about finishing second for a recruit? Congrats on recruiting on the same level as the rest of the SEC. What contributions will you be receiving this season, or any season, from finishing second for those players?

Overview

Highly recruited Mississippi prep who also played basketball and won a pair of long jump state championships. As a true freshman in 2011, started all 12 games at split end and recorded 31 receptions for 454 yards (14.6-yard average) and four touchdowns. Was the Rebels' leading receiver in '12 when he started 12-of-13 games (gave way to extra tight end against Texas) and snagged 66-979-10 (14.8). Started all 13 games in '13 and posted 59-938-6 (15.9).

Analysis

Strengths

Terrific size. Smooth accelerator -- jets off the line, eliminates cushion and has speed to stretch the field vertically. Good balance and body control. Can stem his pattern and leverage defenders. Drives off cornerbacks and creates separation. Knows where the sticks are. Outstanding leaping ability to elevate and pluck throws out of the air. Flashes playmaking ability. Able to sidestep the first tackler and pick up chunk yards after the catch. Gives effort as a blocker to engage and seal. Has experience going head-to-head with NFL-caliber cornerbacks. Will be a 21-year-old rookie and has upside. Tied for the longest broad jump (11-foot) among receivers at the combine.

Weaknesses

Needs to sharpen his route running. Inconsistent ball reactions, particularly in traffic -- better running through or under passes. Does not always play to his size -- gets outmuscled for "50-50" balls and is still coming into his own as a dependable go-up-and-get-it guy. Average hand strength. Tends to trap some throws against his body and occasionally drops catchable balls. Could be more physical. Average elusiveness and open-field electricity. Showed he could be contained -- seven games of 60 yards or less as a junior.

Draft Projection

Rounds 1-2

Bottom Line

Big, physically gifted "X" receiver with deep speed, leaping potential and playmaking ability. Could emerge a No. 1 or No. 2 receiver in a vertical passing offense, and his best football is in front him. Solid combine showing and pro-day workout have ascended his draft standing.

Quay was a bum, but he WAS rated the #1 player at his position out of high school. You just sat here and told me that y'all have commits who will likely be 1st round picks. My point remains the same, that you're absolutely insane if you're going to tell me with a straight face you KNOW a guy will go in the first round out it high school or after a freshman year... I don't care how good that freshman year was (8 YPC).

What don't you understand that all ~250 picks are chosen based on potential? But McKinney has actually produced IN ADDITION to having endless potential. I obviously don't expect you to know because I don't think you watch MSU football (I don't know why, you obviously have no problems trolling our message boards) but he didn't "just" have 66 tackles.

In the most elementary way possible I tried to illustrate to you that we've been MORE than the picture for blue chip talent, which is the crux of this argument... That MSU offers questionable guys because we have the benefit of not being in the running for 5 stars choosing between us and Alabama in Februrary? ********. A lot of these guys we accept commitments from in the summer. Do you think we're going to wait on Fletcher to pick us? You want to have it both ways. You can't. Over the last 6 years MSU has recruited better than Ole Miss. I'm obviously not saying we have a better LT, dammit. But I wouldn't swap 85 for 85 even if you threw in all the Taco Bells in Memphis.

We both have bottom 3 stadiums (although for obvious reasons I think ours is nicer), and yes, I've been in both practice faculties and ours is nicer. When y'all finally do upgrade (because y'all are planning on doing so) y'all will have better faculties than us. Then we'll upgrade. Then y'all will. This cycle will continue forever.

But PLEASE, keep coming back to me with this propaganda ********. And when your star player who was lured to Ole Miss because of the party gets in trouble for partying and I point it out PLEASE keep telling me "you think you're the salt of the earth" because it never gets old.

I don't know what you are watching w Conner but that kid is a stud and always around the ball. He has all the tools to be a great NFL player and could very well be a 1st rounder.

I learned that if you want a recruit REALLY badly, the very first thing you do is assault them and rip off any lanyards they may be wearing. The key is the assault...that softens them up. The z71 is just a formality.

You have to be the most dense poster here besides engie. You still don't realize I haven't made most of the arguments you believe I have.

He's right... Tony Conner won't be a first round pick. That doesn't take anything away from him; he's very good. He's not a first rounder.

I think some people forget that there are only 30 picks in the 1st round. 30! You take away 2-3 from each of Alabama, LSU, FSU, USC, Ohio State, ND, Auburn, Oklahoma, Texas and Oregons of the world, that leaves you with maybe 10 leftover picks that will be 1st round. Ole Miss is basically believing that in back to back drafts, they will have a majority of those 10 picks. THAT IS THE INSANITY THAT WE DEAL WITH HERE....
